I hope the main sequel -or future expansion packs- expand the tower to incorporate parts of the city you can overlook. It would be pretty cool to head to town where the normies live and trade with seedy market vendors and stuff.

I'm not crazy for thinking the Devil Walker is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more difficult than the actual boss of the Strike mission, right? Those things are equipped to handle anything you can throw at them.

A few questions, on the earth screen the story missions have a star in the circle as the logo. Mission 3 for me has a star with like wings or something in the circle, why? Did I do something to give it a different logo or is it just like that.

In Crucible do the weapon stats mean anything? Damage is equal for all right?

Are there only two maps cause it is always moon or venus for me.

Oh boy having the moon and a mission on show yet not being able to play there is such a tease.

Loving the beta again. The story missions are great and it's still a blast to play all over again.

my tiny list of things I would like to see changed.

-After a mission don't send me to orbit (its fun to gather loot, try on new stuff and take pics with friends )
-Allow me to rotate the character creator model and zoom out when looking at armor before purchasing them

Just a heads up for those getting rough image quality - turn down the sharpness level on your tv to the lowest setting possible. It did wonders for me when I tried the alpha and was shocked at the horrible aliasing, shimmering and general rough look of the game. Turned out the 'neutral' sharpness setting on my panasonic tv was actually anything but. Needless to say the game looked much better after this change and the praise for the graphics in the Digital Foundry tech analysis did not seem puzzling to me anymore. One of the reasons I think this game does not go well with artificial sharpening are the large amounts of foliage and small detailed textures in the outdoor parts. I'm sure more technically knowledgeable individuals on GAF can shed more accurate insights though.

Pro-Tip: you should pretty much always do this.

This... a thousand times this

Also does anyone else notice that there is on the tower in the center what looks to be an entrance to another part that overlooks the other side of the tower but we cant go there

Should be doing this anyway for gaming. Kills aliasing and makes everything on screen look much more natural

Can't wait to get back home and olay some more

Got to level 8 in like 2 hours last night?
Only issue from alpha back in beta? YOU CAN'T ROTATE YOUR CHARACTER IN CHARACTER CREATION.....WTF?!?!?!?! This so needs to be fixed for retail. Ugh.

I was just playing round with the companion app, turns out if you dig into the menus they fully render your character in 3d on it and you can spin your character round by swiping it, great detail for this sort of thing... now why not have this in the game?

Gonna need to check this out. It's the PS Gold Wireless headset.

Anyway, my boss called moments ago to take the day off since it will be a slow day today. Time to head back into Destiny.

NO FAIR I have been "working" since 8:30am (it's now 4:30pm)
I'm my own boss but come on I can't take the day off!!

Enjoy your Beta filled day.

fired zero bullets in the orphanage.
I am now hooking up a PS4

the PS3 beta assaulted my eyeballs to this extent. I am about to see the light, and it will involve actually being able to fucking see.

I'm so happy right now. I played three hours last night and maxed my Titan. Played about an hour and a half with some gaffers earlier before calling it quits since I thought I had work. Not anymore! Thank you mighty wizard from the moon!

I've heard multiple times that both Alpha and Beta progress will be wiped. Honestly, I would still play the game a bit just to get a feel for it, but I totally understand wanting your limited time available to play to count for something. I've got the same issue with work, etc... but you hit the cap so quickly here that spending an evening here or there over the next two weeks is totally manageable.
Thanks for the fast reply to you and everyone else who replied so quick.

I hear you, I do. What should it matter really, still playing something.

I still may just play it just because it is so damn good. I am very impressed. I already liked the Alpha, the Beta has taken it to another level. I just also have an insane amount of back log to catch up on.

Thanks again for the fast replies all.

Anyone else feel like Dinklage's ghost dialogue has not improved? I mean, sure, they made it sound more robotic, but the delivery of the lines still feels...off.

What are you guys doing at the moment?

I feel I did pretty much all there is to do, except PVP because I didn't like the capture gametype at all.

Now I just explore old russia. But that'll get old in a few hours, tops.

Hey guys I have avoided all destiny content even alpha so I can do this all fresh but beta finally got me.

Is there any thing that would be valuable for me to know to get the most enjoyment?

I picked the Titan class and I'm mid tutorial I believe. Also can I keep this character in full game?

Thanks. I plan to avoid any threads so the experience can be all fresh

Urgh. I hate how this keeps being a thing. DON'T automatically just set it to the lowest setting. Some TV sets actually go minus values and you can blur the picture. Some Samsung sets for example need to go to 10 out of 100, not 0.

Bungie has changed some of the level requirements for guns from the Alpha. In the Alpha, the Trajan-C sniper rifle required Level 8, now it requires Level 10. Now I know why my guns feel underwhelming compared to the Alpha.

Devil Walker is so much easier to be now.

I faced three different ones in the Beta and they felt just as difficult to defeat as they did in the Alpha.

Yo I think i could hear you but now Im not sure

Thanks for the game earlier, btw.

Not that I helped out anything. Man, I'm complete shite today to the point that I couldn't even finish the Strike.

I love being able to switch difficulty levels for increased awards like this. It's awesome. Sometimes you feel like taking it easy, sometimes you want to get your ass kicked.

God, this game is going to consume my life.

This in game installer to download the entire beta is pretty stupid...!

I cant even play something else to pass the time. :/

i really think this game should have been 4 player fireteams, not 3. I have yet to see one are too small to support it. Maybe we just suck, but my friends and I have gotten destroyed on some certain parts as well; another person could have helped greatly.

So subclasses. Is there a limit on how much stuff you can upgrade? Like in the future do we have to pick and choose which upgrades we get? And do we know what happens when we seal a subclass yet? or what happens when we can eventually switch?

I like the fact it rewards you better for doing it on a harder setting.

It's refreshing for a console game, although granted does it in a lot of MMO's

One thing I don't like is that the game will now disconnect you from people you were travelling with when you get to a no respawn zone. The fuck is up with that?

Talking about the one in the strike.

After playing the Strike mission on level 8 a couple times, I did notice the difficulty was scaled back a little compared to Alpha. Not so much the Devil Walker, but the Sepiks fight. Enemies that spawned used to have Yellow health which signified they were armored. But now they all have Red health, no armor at all except the Captain and Sep of course. Still a fun fight though and I'm sure the full game will have higher diff. levels.
