Ahh, the age old dilemma...

I did. It does not seem terribly well balanced as a loot table. I can see getting +/- 2-3 level loot, but 20+ level difference?
And it's not as if we have a strong auction house or trading system or a way to get a significant amount of money out of such a drop. That is one thing that irks me, I wish we could disassemble items into components and have a crafting and trading system of sorts.
Seriously my biggest problem is that I can't use my prettier gun and win.

Man Glimmer is hard to come by in PvE mode. Didn't seem that way in he alpha.

3 crucible matches. Had a game where I went 22 and 0. Complete destruction of the other team.
The Cerdonia or whatever that AR people moaned about to be nerfed is what I got. Guess what? Not nerfed. I obliterate with that thing still. Thing is god tier...

Beta impressions from Alpha? Love all the changes. NPC dialog, new icons, better asthetitcs, story elements, etc. ALL of it is great.
Only issue from alpha back in beta? YOU CAN'T ROTATE YOUR CHARACTER IN CHARACTER CREATION.....WTF?!?!?!?! This so needs to be fixed for retail. Ugh.

I think it could also be a bit of trolling of showing high end weapons by Bungie.

You can change the color of equipment though, right? At least eventually...I thought I saw that somewhere.

Once you hit the cap, most things are going to be out of reach. It's there because that's how the game is e.g. lvl 5 gear dropped when I was lvl 2, etc.. but also gives you an idea of some of the weapons and armor to look forward to later on come September.
As far as what to do with it, just disassemble it. You'll get a small amount of Glimmer but you'll also get what look like crafting components, though a lot of that stuff had no use in the alpha except to sell for glimmer and I imagine it'll be the same in the beta, but who knows?

Played my first PVP and it was on Venus, got my ass handed to me but it was still fun, I prefer the main story missions though. Sep 9th can't come quick enough.

Yep, played one round of crucible last night. Got repeatedly mauled but same dude who held his vehicle the entire round.
After that I rage quit and went back to my comfortable story missions.

It's not like you don't have the tools to kill a vehicle. Drivers are quite vulnerable if you flank them, heavy weapons tear them apart, supers tear them apart, towers tear them apart.

Can be collected to gain glimmer and crucible marks to be able to buy lengendary weaponry or accessories or armor.
You can trade it in for stuffs.

Nope, i'm finding them just fine. They didn't spawn in that initial outing (the first story mission), but every time after that I've visited Old Russia, they're there.

This is going to be my GOTY, I can see it now. I fucking love this game, everything about it. Gameplay, story, graphics are all top notch. I'll be bummed when the beta ends. Bungie is so damn good.

I know there was a rumor the beta progress may carry over, has that been confirmed or denied?
If it is not the case, I will wait for the retail version, as unfortunately my time to play games these days is extremely limited to days like today where I am off from work, so prefer to make it count so to speak.

Bungie has said they want you to earn your loot. Also, with loot trading it'll only be a matter of time before somebody discovers some kind of dupe glitch and then the game will be broken, especially with it's strong emphasis on PVP.
I'm actually was just thinking and I'm really happy that there is no ingame trading amongst others or auction houses, as it really did mess up diablo and also would encourage the darker parts (like gold mining) in WoW.
But I can still see there being some negatives coming from no trading.
People paying others to boost them through raids and stuff.
I just really hope this doesn't happen.

Picked a hair style that closely resembles my own. Get in-game and discovered it had a pony tail. Ugh.

I get what you are saying as far as tools but when I am getting 1-2 shot killed regularly before I can even get to cover after spawning it seems a little discouraging. I would have loved to be able to use my supers or heavy weapon but I got mauled so bad I only earned one super and only got HW ammo like once before dying.
I will be the first to admit that I am not great at MP shooters. I also have to say there was zero communication on my fire team so those obviously caused problems too. really want to give this a shot though so I can have the complete experience.
I just really don't think the one person who gets the best vehicle on the map should be so easily able to hold it the entire round.
I am sure that once I give it a few more go's and learn the maps I will eventually get better. It was just incredibly frustrating last night and I am sure that even with all of my issues, whatever that vehicle was it was ridiculous.

I've heard multiple times that both Alpha and Beta progress will be wiped. Honestly, I would still play the game a bit just to get a feel for it, but I totally understand wanting your limited time available to play to count for something. I've got the same issue with work, etc... but you hit the cap so quickly here that spending an evening here or there over the next two weeks is totally manageable.
