They blocked the exit to outside the wall! You could get outside during alpha but now a giant gate blocks your path as you get there in explore
Same here. I got a Titan to level 6 last night. Tonight I'll get him to 8, then start a Hunter, and then a Warlock. I love the new opening sequence they added for the beta! Looking forward to playing through that again.
Not that it was difficult by any stretch, but I was so proud of myself when I found that during the alpha! It was neat to explore, after seeing that area played at last year's E3.

it will pop up in-game and tell you an upgrade is available (like when you gain a level for your character)...go to your inventory, hover over the item and press triangle to open up the details and select the upgrade it unlocked

I really want to try other classes, but I just can't let go of being able to double jump. Eh.
you still have to select the upgrade, but a big icon will pop up telling you the upgrade is avaliable, sort of like when you level up, and it tells you to upgrade.
is that the encrypted stuff? its just weapons/items that need to be decypted before they can be views/used. Its worth getting them decrypted. its just another layer to the gear.

All I want to say is that Destiny is great, fun, beautiful and is absolutely living up to my hype.
That was bugging the hell out me too. I thought for sure my TV was fucked up somehow, but it seems like only the UI is doing it. There's like a red piece that is poking out under the text the closer you get to the edges.
Lol, hunter has the worst jumping ability in the game.

So I am using a pulse rifle that had a level up that says it can be used in fully automatic mode. But, I can't figure out how to make it full auto still. Any guesses?
Warlocks can glide, but what can Titans do? I haven't played the beta yet so I have no idea.

Titans have a jet pack
Best jump, same height as Hunters but can cover long distance like Warlock

Titans can't do a triple jump or blink. Like the Hunter. Also we can be invisible.
Note to self: Don't leave my character sitting down when I leave the room unless I want to be violated.

Maybe, but in traversal and versatility, both Warlock and Titan make the hunter's ability look pretty mediocre, in my opinion.
I don't really play PVP though, maybe it's great there?
TBH I love playing duck hunt with gliding hunters and jetpacking titans.
At least with the double -triple jump you're not as vulnerable as the others.

Locks glide bruh not hunters.
Funny thing is I'm fairly certain most locks aren't aware if you press the jump button while you're gliding it'll cancel the glide until you hit jump again...alternatively aiming down the sights also cancels the glide. In Crucible I watch them all glide slowly to where ever they're going completely oblivious.

How does the mission system work? I've done the first couple of story missions but they're still there on the map, how do I know what I've completed? Do the missions stay there indefinitely?

Hunter Double Jump + Better Control is choice. Mid-air juking is so useful for PvP, and it adds to your momentum if you are moving forward to let you cover ground faster.

could the titan tiger knee be the shoulder charge ability? the ability description reads:
after sprinting for a short time press R1 to unleash a devastating melee attack

I really do like that the time of day is dynamic on these maps. My first run was at dusk, and my second match was in the rain. Its a great touch.

The missions stay there, but they turn a solid color when you've completed them.
So far from the truth, but that's alright. We've all gotta be wrong some of the time.

Have you guys seen that video comparing the alpha and beta ghost voices? 80% of the comments are all like "Wow why did they change the voice it sounded way better before" and I'm like WHERE TF are thesr people coming from.

Honestly, there is more to do than I probably will have time for before it ends. I played 5 hours last night. I'm at level 7 1/2 with a Warlock and beat the strike, but only have weapons around the mid 50's. I think at the end of the Alpha I had some 80's + guns.
Then I still have to get bounties, upgrade weapons/sparrow/space ship, crucible ranks ect. After all of that, I have to bank my stuff and create a Titan to level up, and then go back to my Alpha choice, Hunter, and see if I still like that the best.
And then take my favorite character and bang out some more Crucible.
There just isn't enough time...especially with the maintenance days.
I actually feel like the Alpha version is very hokey. Like that hey him exaggerate it almost in a stage-play style, because with the voice filter and electronic voice, there's just enough intonation pretense that it doesn't get lost. If it wasn't exaggerated to begin with, it'd just sound dull and boring non stop without any real depth.
TLDR: I liked the beta version better.
