I know it's essentially free, and just a beta, but I wish there was more content available. I feel I've exhausted it already and hit the level cap. Not really interested in playing crucible over and over.

After playing the Alpha it does kinda feel like the content is lacking, but I doubt I'd be saying that if this was my first experience with Destiny.

The story content is a nice snippet, and the MP is also pretty chunky. Would be nice to see a different gametype other than territories though.

I really wish we could have a straight answer as to whether beta progress will transfer. I don't want to go in too deep if I will lose progress.

Maybe they don't want to spoil a lot of stuff. I trust Bungie to do things right

I fucking hope so... because yeah, I'm super worried. The game comes out in less than two months and we've yet to see any PvE zone besides Old Russia. Never gotten a confirmation on just how many planets/zones there are either. Why haven't they at least said that there will be "xx kilometers" or something? It honestly feels like Bungie is trying to pull a fast one on all of us.

There are multiple zones per planet. On Earth, these places are confirmed: Old Russia (obviously), Swamps of Chicago, Mumbai Push, Eastern Flood Zone, and the European Dead Zone. Also the city, tower and the wall. Plus maybe some others.

Confirmed locations on the Moon: The accelerator, the hellmouth and the moonbase. Likely more that are unknown.

The only confirmed location on Venus is the citadel, again, there are likely more.

There is no information on mercury locations, but the planet has been seen in trailers.

Mars locations so far: Dust Palace, Charlemagne's vault and the Mars' exclusion zone.

Nothing has been said about Jupiter, but it has been shown in an E3 trailer. However there is some concept art of Jupiter's moon Europa. Also since Jupiter is gaseous I doubt we'll play on it but idk.

Not much is known about Saturn except for the face that there are derelict spaceships floating around its rings.

Nothing has been revealed on Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. Maybe they're in the launch game, maybe they're DLC, idk.

I think this game is going to have a TON of content with plenty to do. I'm very excited for launch and for the 360 beta next week.

A lot of those locations/zones you mention, either have never been confirmed to actually be in the game, and were only mentioned during that gdc talk where Joe Staten and Christopher Barrett talked about the world building process of Destiny, or are just locations similar to the Skywatch in Old Russia. The Hellmouth for instance, isn't an entire zone, but a section of the only Moon zone we know about.

I want ( and honestly expect ) there to be multiple zones per planet/moon. But Bungie have, to my knowledge, never given any confirmation that there are multiple zones per planet/moon.

Seeing as we know several Bungie employee's read this thread however. They can all feel very welcome to correct me, I'd honestly be very happy if they did.

How many hours of content is enough in the final game for most of you? The crucible is obviously infinite. But what about pvp or the gear treadmill?

So are some parts of the Tower closed off for beta purposes? There are several doorways that seem obvious entries to other segments but they are closed off. Most noticably the white doors above the Vanguards "bunker".

Also, will we get an own "home"? Or would that be too MMO-ish? I want my own place.

Finished the Devil's Lair with some friends. It was long and hard as fuck but intense and fucking awesome. The game doesn't lose anything on the PS3, although I might consider getting one of them white PS4 for Destiny later this year. :p We lost a fireteam member somewhere halfway through but someone got matchmade into the game, apparently. That was pretty awesome. At the beginning we encountered another fireteam but they were far away so we didn't really gang up. Can you actually do that? How many human people can be in a mission simultaneously?

If the story is as long as your average halo game I'd be happy.

That and 6-9 strikes and the raid would be awesome.

That strike starts in an open area but once you get to the actual mission objectives it locks out anyone else but the fireteam members

guns can have attributes as well. In the first reveal, there was the heavy machine gun that had like lighting atribute to it. So I am sure all guns can eventually look likr some sort of lazer gun. Even in the beta, there is fire, lighting?, and some purple attribute(void?), cant remeber.

There's a pretty limited lineup of weapon types though. So far nothing we've seen indicates that there will be more than the 9 weapon types we've seen in the alpha/beta. All of which are human made weapons. Seems like a weird step backwards compared to the Halo series imo. Destiny has almost half a dozen alien races in the game, that are gonna have alien weapons, why not let players also wield those weapons?

For reference, every Halo can be done in about 10 hours.

I'll say for me, that's not nearly enough content. The PvP is a side-show for me. It's fun, sure. However, it in no way would keep me busy enough to make up for some wimpy 10 hour story. If Destiny is 20-30 hours, then I'll bite. If it's only a Halo length game, then there's no way I'm buying this at release.

Just had a chance to have a quick 5 minutes with the Beta. After the Alpha returning to the tower felt like home. Going to give this some serious playtime this weekend

true, but if you go back to my post I edited in a link of the video, there is a good amount of upgrades and attributes to many guns. So there is likely and hopefully a lot of variety to the guns. But more gun types would be welcome. Maybe they will save that for expansions though.

LMAO do you seriously think all these location will be available for you at lunch?

Most of these are gonna be DLCs / Expansion Packs over the 10 years contract between bungie and activation.

If they're going for the MMO business model they'll make the story short and sweet and just long enough to hit the level cap (20). After that it will be about farming blues and playing strikes/levels on legendary.

If they can add content every 3-4 months I think they'll have a hit with decent legs.

I feel sorry for you if you think these are all going to be in the game at launch or even in this game at all. You're going to be sorely disappointed.

If I finish the story and there's a reason to return to the game outside of PvP alone (however they accomplish this), then I'll be in for sure.

Id love to eat all those planets for lunch. But Bungie hates us.

Im trying to find a video about the "so many # things you need to see the the Destiny beta." It talked about the hidden chests and unbeatable big guys.

We can hope. We really don't know how big Bungie is planning for each game to be but it's exciting to see where it goes.

I really want to see that place on Venus though. Looks amazing.

The more I play the beta, the less I like it. I'll still buy it, but more for the campaign.

The vehicles are ridiculous. They are way too powerful. You are pretty much defense against them unless you have a one hit kill weapon or a super ready.

The supers are not balanced at all. The golden pistol works at almost any range while the other two are only for close range.

The Hunter double jump is so much easier to control than the Warlock glide. The glide just keeps on gliding and you have such little air control.

This game needs some serious balancing.

I have faith in Bungie because their betas have always led to a more balanced game, but right now it's not great.

Single player seems fun, but this is supposed to be an MMO shooter right? Only allowing 3 players in a strike team cripples it.

Strike missions against bosses should have been huge battles with at least 10 players fighting in huge arenas. So many games over the years have made co-op a four player experience. This game feels empty with only three.

I'm starting to get worried that there won't be enough variety in this game. Going back to the same exact locations over and over to complete short little missions is not a lot of fun.

This better not end of being a campaign experience that only lasts 10-15 hours.

I found 2 enemies with "??" over them where their levels should have been. Every time I shot one of them, it just said "resist" and did no damage. They were extremely powerful. I ran away.

There needs to be at least 3 locations for each planet/moon. That would be a good starting point at launch.
