true, but if you go back to my post I edited in a link of the video, there is a good amount of upgrades and attributes to many guns. So there is likely and hopefully a lot of variety to the guns. But more gun types would be welcome. Maybe they will save that for expansions though.

Well green items have like 1 upgrade. Dunno about blue, probably 3-4 would be my guess, and while those lvl 20 purple items seem to have a decent number of upgrade abilities, it's not like everyone of those abilties are highly unique and interesting, a lot of them are very basic stuff like more dmg, faster firerate/reload etc. A fully upgraded purple shotgun will most likely "just" feel like a very good shotgun, it will have high dmg, shoot fast, reload fast etc. But I'd still like it if we got access to alien weapons, like the one The Fallen have with the homing energy shots.

That strike starts in an open area but once you get to the actual mission objectives it locks out anyone else but the fireteam members

That makes sense, but that kinda sucks too. :p Maybe there will be massive battles in Destiny 2: Wizard Boogaloo, which I assume will be current-gen only.

I guess these invulnerable enemies are to keep you out of areas that aren't intended for play yet?

There's a chest in that cave. Either an Ogre or Knight spawns in that spot. As Warlock what I do is glide over the cliff and the enemy will follow and kill itself. Go get that loot afterward lol.

There are multiple zones per planet. On Earth, these places are confirmed: Old Russia (obviously), Swamps of Chicago, Mumbai Push, Eastern Flood Zone, and the European Dead Zone. Also the city, tower and the wall. Plus maybe some others.

Confirmed locations on the Moon: The accelerator, the hellmouth and the moonbase. Likely more that are unknown.

The only confirmed location on Venus is the citadel, again, there are likely more.

There is no information on mercury locations, but the planet has been seen in trailers.

Mars locations so far: Dust Palace, Charlemagne's vault and the Mars' exclusion zone.

Nothing has been said about Jupiter, but it has been shown in an E3 trailer. However there is some concept art of Jupiter's moon Europa. Also since Jupiter is gaseous I doubt we'll play on it but idk.

Not much is known about Saturn except for the face that there are derelict spaceships floating around its rings.

Nothing has been revealed on Uranus, Neptune or Pluto. Maybe they're in the launch game, maybe they're DLC, idk.

I think this game is going to have a TON of content with plenty to do. I'm very excited for launch and for the 360 beta next week.

Believe.

By confirmed you mean concept art right? Because none of that is confirmed.

Also the last mission in the beta has that control panel with the three screens and the only thing there is the moon, venus and mars.

Love the potential.

I hope the alpha and beta had accelerated xp, cuz hitting level 8 was fast.

If the cap is 20, seems reachable in about 8-10 hours.

Anyone else disappointed by the fact that this Beta is so short for Xbox users? Plus I'm getting conflicting info, in the OT it says the Beta ends on the 27th yet on Bungie.net it says on the 26th?

On top of that why launch the Beta on a Wednesday afternoon? (1pm here in EST). My internet is at it's slowest during that time of day, besides does anybody know how big the download is for X1 and 360 because to the best of my knowledge Bungie still hasn't provided that info.

so is the common theory that the ending will be the big traveler thing will crash into earth because of the darkness and you have to stop it?

or will they save that for the sequel

Has anyone found any good locations for grinding loot drops in free-roam?
I found one area where the same mini boss spawns over and over and drops "house banners" which give you 500 glimmer each in The Tower.

For people complaining that others are too quiet; Unless I'm mistaken, only people in your Fireteam can hear you, this applies to all game types/areas.

I'm okay with that if they make it more intuitive to join up with people.

I've found chat too loud. I think if you create a party it is louder, and you have a mix slider also which helps.

Alright, I was never certain from the alpha, and I am still unclear from the beta so far; does crouching or crouch walking hide you on radar? I am unsure because sometimes I will be crouching around a corner and people will seem to immediately know where I am. Is this because I am still on radar, are they just checking their corners, did they actually see my character, or what?

Would love to know definitively.

Put 10 hours or so into the beta so far. Really enjoying it as i did the alpha. Really can't wait for the full game.

pretty sure on Bungie.net it says it ends at the end of day of ther 27th. Or at least it did.

edit: odd it does say the 26th in the faq now, when it used to say end of day on the 27th

there was also this

They need to do something about quitters in PVP.

Once someone leaves the match, it's completely disadvantageous in a game where numbers holding points is the key to victory.

I lost all the games where 1 or 2 people left.

Why are people complaining about Dinklage'd performance? I mean, his delivery is quite dry and emotionless, but he's playing an AI for god's sake. I think it's totally fine.

I'm thinking the traveler opens when the darkness overruns the last city. survivors flee into the traveler and it takes them to some new mysterious galaxy. That's how I would do it.
