Hey, I get the same thing, and the beta for me crashes on strikes and while playing on the crucible. My PS4 keeps crashing while playing online or digital games and a replacement is already on it way. If your system also starts acting up then using the warranty shouldn't hurt.

Hm, I may have to look into that. So far, the Destiny beta is the only game to do this to me, and I play it pretty often. I'll see how it goes tonight, and try switching to different games and seeing if the problem is across the board. Thanks for the reply!

Why is old Russia so lifeless and barren? Why aren't there more enemies? Why don't they explore, patrol, guard? Right now they are just waiting to die. When attacked they don't swarm, retreat, call in support, etc.

Where is the hidden lore? Why aren't their artifacts of the world before "The Darkness?" Old things to interact with. Only thing there is, is the random ass chests that don't quite fit in. Why not hide loot in caves, under rocks, near rubble, etc?

Game is beautiful though. Combat is Halo. Skills are uninspiring, all classes seem to not need the other. Everyone is a Spartan/Rambo.

I was really hoping to put my PS4 to work in September. I guess it will continue to gather dust. :(

I'm sorry to hear you're not enjoying the game. I'm having a blast with it.

I love those NOOOOPE moments when I'm exploring, entering some basement and seeing some freak enemies with power levels so huge they're displayed as question marks.

Run for your life haha!

Fireteams will definitely be more varied class-wise when people have access to the second subclass at 15.

I'll be buffing teammates with my Ward of Dawn and I'm sure Warlocks will be using their Solar buff too.

It's perfectly fair for him to give his impressions about this game in this thread. Sorry you don't agree with him but I for one have no interest in this thread being a simple echo chamber.

IMO he made some good points and has some solid ideas for how to enrich the world Bungie is trying to create.

Iron Banner has some advantages though:
Now Fusion Rifles/Snipers/Shotguns 1-hit kill ONLY if their Attack gets through your Defense, which means if you have really good Defense, you'll take much less damage
Level 1 Auto Rifle is now actually worse than a Level 8 Auto Rifle

Why would this be the case?

i just got to that main place after the first mission. how do i play multiplayer?

Like figadapaura said, keep doing missions. You have to hit level 4 or 5 before you get an invite to join in the crucible.

So people are complaining about the AI a lot? I noticed that it definitely got better as the level of the enemies went up. It hasn't been "oh my God, did you see that?" incredible, but I wouldn't call it bad by any means. No enemies stuck in walls or just standing there while I shoot them. The Fallen and Hive have been pretty mobile, at least.

I've mostly been lone wolfing it through story missions as I level up, partly since I'm having to limit my time so much thanks to work, but I've really enjoyed what I've played so far. I can see the game having long legs if they can keep the community engaged with new content.

I don't remember the double jump / jetpack gliding difference being as pronounced in the Alpha. Warlock is the most fun for it, but not that practical when you are taking fire.

Gave a few hours to the beta, played some story missions and explored Old Russia. The game seems okay, but it seems I really should have some friends playing the game too.
Playing the missions solo feel kinda empty and lifeless? Maybe I'm the only one, but I miss split screen co-op. Don't have a lot of gaming pals with a PS4 so it's a pity Destiny doesn't have a split screen option.
The few public events I got into were great, though. Hard to get story missions going with randoms, as there was no way to communicate at the tower. Also a reason I played the main missions solo.
Controls felt really great and the graphics were mediocre, but the fov is disturbingly tiny. The AI also felt lacking compared to Halo.

Is there an in-game map? Searched the menus and pressed all kinds of buttons.

I don't think the competitive multiplayer is very fun in this game tbh the more I play. Maybe it's because I suck at it :lol. Co-op is way more fun.

Fooled around in the menu and looked over the BladeDancer sub-class for my Hunter. Whoa. A lot of these abilities sound amazing.

Going stealth while you crouch, temporary invisibility, extended melee attack, motherfucking teleportation.... my god..

Haha, I thought the exact same thing. It'll probably be my main class in the final game, as it pretty much sounds completely amazing.

Got my Warlock to level 8, started a Titan. The more I play the Titan, the more I'm worried about my long term interest in the game. So far power usage is pretty infrequent and the classes feel very samey to me. Maybe this is a feeling colored by too much time spent on Warframe.

I'm going to grind the rest of my Warlock's traits, what's the best place to farm equipment and glimmer? The old russia strike?

Once a team gets the advantage, there's no way to lose in PVP. The stacking of supers because of the orbs of light needs to go away. I haven't seen a single Crucible match swing the other way after a lead is taken.

I played just the beginning of the beta because of my exams, but enemy A.I. didn't look very aggressive and, when fighting multiple enemies, they used to gather making their murder easy and fast. Of course the game's tutorial is easy, but I'm asking, how does it get more difficult later on?? More powerfull / bigger number of enemies, or does it also introduce new enemy types (in most battles, not justa few ) that require more thinking and reacting???

Are we going to keep are levels and stats from the beta in the main game? Having done old Russia in the pre alpha and the beta it's going to be a serious buzz kill doing it all again at launch.

It's happened a few times for me, but they were really close matches.

There's more enemy types that you can't just burn down instantly and will return some intense fire. Even just a Captain can be an asshole if you let them get too close.

Actually if people like him spent a little more time paying attention and less time forming a complaint he may of looked at some of those grimoire cards, actually paid attention to the story missions, etc. The grimoire cards give tons of backstory and lore and the few story missions in the beta showcase exactly what is going on.

Mankind reaches Mars. Discover the traveler. With its protection and wisdom mankind enters a golden era and sets out through the solar system setting up colonies and such. The traveler must have an enemy in the Fallen and when the Fallen locate it they set off the war that eliminates humanity almost. You in this game are a long dead being that for whatever reason the Ghost chooses to bring back to life and guide to try and help win this war against the Fallen.

The more mysterious race is the Hive. Not too too much is said about them except they are The Darkness and have been enemies of the Light for ... Ever.

Yes. The level six strike provides a good challenge. Even level five Dregs exhibited better AI by running from grenades and strafing my shotgun blasts. This isn't like playing Halo on Heroic where enemies will be capable right from the start.

IMO, the enemies get smarter at higher levels, and they definitely throw new classes and new types at you as the game progresses. Whether or not the AI will ever impress you is another matter entirely. I've had more fun fighting the enemies on this game than I did the Prometheans in Halo 4, but that's probably not saying much.

Unless is a really big advantage, match can still change pretty easy if you can coordinate with your teammates.

Ah, and that reminds me of new enemy behaviors, such as Dregs throwing grenades at level 6 or 7, I think it was. And there's the servitors that can provide shields to the Fallen when they are in proximity, kinda like Engineers in Halo. At least I think that's what was happening.

nope.

i don't think i'll mind it when the main game comes out and i know this time it is for real, all the loot i get and stuff. with the alpha and beta i just scrap anything cool above lvl 8.

I like to read and respect everyone's opinion, but c'mon. Mediocre graphics? I can see if you said average, but I can't even take this seriously. I agree regarding the FOV though, wish they would adjust it.

It's hard but i've seen a handful out of about 20 played where there was a comeback.
