I have the Xbox One Stereo Headset, and used it during the Alpha, but no one ever talked.

Was it just my headset not working with the chat features? Or were the chat features just not working well for the Alpha? Or nobody likes me and they all thought if they didn't talk to me I'd stop dancing.

I presume this meant several attempts at the dungeon over the period of 16 hours, not that they played a 16 hour marathon dungeon run and weren't able to finish it.

You could only voice chat with fireteam members in the Alpha, so if you were talking to random people in Old Russia or Crucible, they weren't going to hear you. You'll need to select them and invite them to your fireteam.

Kinda a hassle as far as meeting new people goes, but it makes sense why it's set up that way. Don't want to be speeding by on my Sparrow and hear a clan initiation going on by the Steppes.

I doubt it, this is likely the Venus map for the retail game.
 
Speaking of headphones i am very disappointed my g930 wont work adequately on ps4. I was relieved when sony announced you could use any headset since it was a prob with the ps3 but unfortunately the volume is really low even on max. Used it on alpha and i couldn't understand what people were telling me due to the low volume.

Now ill have to use a cheap one with a jack.

Datto Does Destiny is a good channel. His breakdown of the different character classes has helped me better understand the game and which classes to choose or avoid.

yeah dude, the .co.uk codes take the longest time, I just got 3 through.

Going to give them to the begging thread as I already have enough codes.

Anything other than the comparrison app happen since I was gone?

I looked at the headsets, they're nice but I have my Astro A40's only bought those ones as they can be used on all my systems so for the price aren't actually that bad considered. I whole heatedly agree on how trash the boxed PS4 ones though, I think I actually put them straight into the box again, where they are to this day.
 
I feel abnormal. Nothing coming out in October screams "Day One!" to me. TLOU:R will take the reigns at the end of the month. Once September hits Destiny will take over until November when it will share the spotlight with CoD (my guilty pleasure).

Assassin's Creed will be gotten eventually as will Evolve. Everything else is either passable at the moment or needing further previews/reviews.

I should have 2 PS4 and 1 PS3 codes going spare come Thurday which I'll share with fellow Gaffers.

Nah although the companion app looks pretty sweet though. I've used the AC4 one and the Watchdogs app and it looks equally as good. Destiny morning, noon and night. I feel sorry for my boss as I'm going to be getting nothing done at work.

I'd love to grab a pair of Astros but TBH I'll only be playing Destiny and TLOU online so £20 was pretty much my budget. Heard the A40s are sweet though. I may grab some as a Destiny 2 treat.
 
I've already redeemed my beta code on Bungie.net and chosen my platform, but I've changed my pre-oreder from standard to limited edition and recieved another beta code.

So, I have a Beta code for any platform spare, where do I post it for someone to have?

What would it take for me to take that ps3 code off your hands? :P

Also, this might just be me being cheap, but any other decent but cheaper preferably stereo headsets than the ones discussed. Or should I just wait till Sony releases an update which makes my ps3 Bluetooth compatible with the ps4?

I've already redeemed the PS3 code on bungie.net and 2 of the download codes are spoken for. I should have one left though but won't get it until Thursday. Hit me up then and I'll gladly sort you out.

Good heaven, that Warlock armor couldn't be more amazing. As a guy who cares way too much what his character looks like, I think this may have tipped the scales for what class I focus on.

Been lurking this thread ever since I got into the beta (thank you Dax01!), and I just have one question amidst all the arguing about which class is the best: does anyone know if we can have multiple characters in the beta (or hell, in the final game), or do we just get one and have to stick with it?

I'm scared to commit to a certain class if it turns out I'm not particularly fond of it. Right now seeing all the impressions I'm mostly leaning towards the

Only only get 1 character forever. You can never play anything but that 1 character. So make your choice count.

Nope no auto mute was just a the basic ps3 sony bluetooth headset. Played some stuff with friends with it and had no complaints. Ill find out in a few days how well it does.
