Holy Crap! Just watched the Bungie companion app and on the Gear screen:

3 Subclasses per Class confirmed!

Welp, I think we know what this means

Just throwing this out there: The alpha had three slots for Focuses in the inventory. The 2/3 and the 3 slots don't necessarily mean there are three subclasses, just that you can carry 3 focuses at a time. Just like it shows 5/10 primary weapons etc.

Odds are, you can acquire extras, allowing you to have multiple locked-in trees.

There may be three subclasses. There may be two at launch. Who knows. But that number doesn't guarantee it.

Edit: I felt like I'd read about getting new ones upon locking before, and I found the article: http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2...-turns-into-diablo-when-you-hit-the-level-cap

So instead of being able to respec, we can carry differently built ones and equip them when desired.

Yeah, that makes sense.

This is said better than I obviously did. Can you spec into more than one subclass at a time? I would think this might mean that he has 2 out of his 3 Skillsets filled out, that you change between?

If that's the case, I'll take that as well though I'd still prefer a 3rd subclass instead, and it seems like an awesome thing for them to hide until launch.

Only 3 people for free roam and strike missions. In the Crucible, the max number of fire team members is 6. You can send party invites to get a full PVP squad up and running, or join your friend if he has slots open.

You can't pick to join others, as far as I know. 6 pre-selected players is only available in the Crucible and Raids.

thanks, but that kinda sucks, not sure I understand why they wouldnt allow you to free roam all together, in multiple fireteams

Bungie has said that when you lock in the choices you make for a subclass, you unlock a non-leveled copy of that subclass. That might be why there's a third slot. So you can have "Gunslinger A" and "Gunslinger B."

Destiny allows you to freely swap your ability choices, but according to Green there comes a point when you can lock them in. This gives your Guardian benefits, such as a stat boost. At this point you get a copy of the same focus, but that copy levels up much faster, thus allowing experimentation.

But yeah. Third subclass is still possible, and even if there isn't one at launch I'd be surprised if we don't see more foci in time.

I actually remember Bungie mentioning multiple Foci in your inventory. I guess I just forgot about that.

I wonder if you can discard them and start over?

Heads up for AusGaf. Digital preload of beta works if you just preorder on PSN. No money taken. I don't even have a CC on my account.

Can you hear it?
That feint rumble in the distance?
It's barely audible at the moment.....

There! Hear it now?
The sound of a 1000 warlocks moaning in pain as they realise all the space magic in the galaxy won't save them from the hunters arc blade...

I love killing warlocks, they're so squishy !

Our so squishy what? If you want to start an insult at least finish it

:P

Ehh, I don't know. I think supers could create a lot of frustration and we haven't played a lot of the PvP to judge if it's viable for competitive tournaments.

Aren't Call of Duty games around in the e-sports scene? Supers don't even compare to the shit you can pull off with killstreaks.

I wonder if any if of the daily/weekly challenge stuff will be live during the beta. Just curious if how involved they may be.

I didn't play the alpha, and don't remember it being mentioned by anyone before, so forgive if this has already been discussed.
