Destiny House of Wolves Reveal Thread

There is one bubble to upgrade to the new level without loose the previous upgraded perks... I loved the way... you need to use a new material but yeap you don't need to upgrade again the weapon.

I am talking new or purchased weapons. Is still only that one bubble? Also, you still need tons of XP right?

Man, the Thunderlord. The most devastating weapon in the game. It really bums me out that they disabled purple ammo drops from players in PVP. :(

This is less expansion content and more like upcoming fixes and patches.

This isnt not the only livestream thats coming.

They showed The Reef which is basically the Tower and a Material Exchange/Upgrade path that should have been a free patch months ago to make up for bad game design. What content are you talking about?

The new armor, new perks, new weapons, new weapon models, reforging. There's more there than in the majority of Crota's End.

fucking deej.. love bungie but I really don't like him.

I used to look forward to the Weekly Updates back in the Halo Days. Don't know if its his style or what but I don't even read them anymore. His updates pale in comparison to Luke Smith, Urk, and the legend of all legends Frankie.

Yeah, this is all stuff that should have been in the first DLC. I would have loved to upgrade my Fatebringer the first time around.

Still, nothing is going to fix the underlying problem that you're going to have to grind a lot of the same content you've already grinded to get some of the stuff you want if you haven't been hording materials, and there's really nothing to do when you max out your favorite stuff unless you have a gotta catch em all mentality.

I agree, i'm probably just gonna play the new story stuff and then wait for Destiny 2 instead.

Who all pale in comparison to Matt Soell. :)

I think I'd like to get back into the game when the new content hits (I already paid for it after all) but I just don't think I have the time and the effort to put back in to it again. It consumed my life last time and I eventually weened my way off it. Just not sure I have the energy to put so much time back in catching up with lost time as well as grinding the new stuff.

really liked what I saw.. I haven't played in well over a month and I want to go home tonight and start grinding motes and mats for the exchange.

I'm happy with the material exchange seeing as I have about 600 Ascendant Shards and Energy and 250 Radiant Shards and Energy, lol.

I'm *very* grouchy that I can earn faction rep through PvE activities, but can't buy faction gear with Vanguard marks. Still being locked out of 4 of the 5 weapon vendors in the tower because I don't play Crucible absolutely sucks and I do not understand why it was not addressed.

This stuff seems like stuff that people who've been playing the game will appareciate.

I still wanna see how they handle the stuff you actually play. The story missions need to be way better this time around, strikes need to have way better bosses and the trials and poe need to also be interesting and not just a boring content grind for gear.

interesting to note that everything shown is available to all players and not just those who buy the DLC

i think that's really the main thing to take away from this.

excited for the upgrade and exchange system. it's definitely something that's long overdue, but at least they appear to have put some thought into it. i'm a bit concerned that old rares wont be of much use unlike legendaries, but at least those are all upgradeable and it's not exclusive to raid gear and exotics.

the only thing i think that really disappointed me was how small and flat the reef space is. guess we'll have to wait a little longer to see these areas open up. by then, i expect to be able to chat with some fellow guardians.

I hate to continually be the negative nancy in the room, but that's ... uh... nothing, really. None of that is stuff you play. No one stopped playing Destiny because it lacked armor, weapons, perks, reforging, etc. All of that is useless if all we are doing are the same strikes we've been doing since last summer.

/grumble grumble

Yepppp. Same here.

Tfw no Shadow Price, no Zombie Apocalypse and no The Swarm.
At least I still have a Super Pox VLO I guess.

I don't understand why there isn't any uproar about not being able to buy old weapons specially now that you can updrade them, I found it strange when Crota's End hit and I still do now. Seriously.

The stream was pretty ok, lots of fixes and some new stuff thrown in for good measure. They still have ways to go but the things are looking pretty good even though there was nothing really spectacular shown today.

This stream was basically a wake up call for some people to grind the shit out of this game before the DLC hits and I'm afraid I may just do that.

They're not going to show the new strike/prison of elders/trials of osiris in this broadcast. This was just showing the reef and the tower, and it's a marked improvement over how it was.

On the other hand, those who only PVP can't get raid weapons. I'm okay with each play mode having their own stuff, especially since it's pretty easy to get PvP marks, even if you're terrible.

The QoL of life changes were good. The reef was useless though. Now we have to suffer through two loading screens to do things that one proper hub would have sufficed to do. What a waste of resources.

Yeah, it certainly is an improvement. Bungie has been good with improving QOL issues since launch. But I won't be impressed until Bungie shows us content, dammit.

So am I, but it's not the same thing. In the tower there is Crucible quartermaster, a Vanguard quartermaster, and the three factions. The Crucible rep can only be unlocked and purchased with Crucible marks, the Vanguard stuff with Vanguard rep and marks.

The faction gear can be unlocked with PvE or PvP experience...but only purchased with Crucible marks. Thus 4 of 5 vendors are Crucible only. It makes no sense.

It should be: Crucible stuff via Crucible marks, Vanguard stuff via Vanguard stuff, and the factions with either.

You can say that sort of thing for every destiny update, why upgrade and reset the skill tree using xur when now you don't even need him.

well the thing is I started a few months late with CE so I'm still in the process of converting all the exotics I own. If I got the season pass back in December I would be done by now and have a large pool of mats.

Oh, got it, agreed. That's silly and makes no sense.

I didn't get to watch the stream but I saw a pic of the Red Hand IX and the upgrade paths seem like it's half as much as usual. Did they cut out a lot of what needed to be upgraded? I'm confused.

Charging for the queens wrath content is a shitty move but everything else is stellar.

My queens emblem aint special no more :(
