It IS great business.They hold it back because they know people will continue to play the game in hopes of getting it. I don't know why people are still surprised at stuff like this. Bungie is playing this masterfully.

It only took for one day to get the strat down. It's easy when you think about it. Horns is a must. I don't care what anybody says. You need at least one person with it and two with Hunger or equivalent.

It was working on me up until now, but I'm finally reaching the breaking point.
And I'm probably not the only one...

I've been repeating that for weeks, that they are using it for now as a way to keep players who don't have it in the game. But there are two problems with that:
1. it doesn't work like that, see all the people with a Horn in this thread that keep on playing the game just fine... I know I would not stop playing it the day I get the Horn, *ON THE CONTRARY* I would play way more than I do now...
2. they released a mode this week that more or less requires the Horn.

I'd say this is far for "playing it masterfully", and it's probably giving them too much credit.
They have no fucking clue as to what they are doing.

It is the greatest Carrot-on-a-stick they have in the game, except this week was the monkey wrench in that plan that seems to have broken a lot of vets. Many folks have quit this week out of frustration with the raid. Many will likely come back after having time to cool down, but it seems the release of the hard mode raid did more damage then good for business. If House of Wolves is just more of the same, I expect there to be a lot of attrition for whatever comes next.

Seeing how Gjallahorn is mandatory now, I'm done. I won't rely on RNG to be relevant in Hard Mode, that is some shitty business practice I won't support any further. Xur selling No Land Beyond today is the final straw.
