Skolas dead. Took a little bit. The rock strat works! It's particularly amusing when Skolas manages to teleport up close and the fight turns into some perverse version of Uroxx's lava floor. Everybody jump, get away from the walls and get away from each other immediately.

Got a Void Scout Rifle. Hell yeah!
Also a sixth Elder Cipher.

Me too.

There are two ways Bungie brings out the adds with bosses: send out a wave when the boss reaches a certain health threshold, and spawn them in constantly. PoE uses the latter, and it should really use the former. For all the grief Omnigul's boss fight gets (which is mostly justified), the ebb and flow of the battle is one of the best things about it. The constant barrage of adds gets wearying, fast, in PoE boss fights.

I had ruled out doing Skolas earlier, as I knew it would get adjusted at some point. They're changing it right along the lines of what I had hoped for. Sounds like it will actually be fun!

Best thing is to run in, spawn him, turn 180 and hightail it back out to the walker room. Take care of the adds and DPS him from there.

That happened to one of our runs where we had Skolas at 1% health. Stung, but also funny.
The next run we had bad positioning from Skolas and the Servitor so it was a wipe.
The next run was our successful kill.

Yeah--the first time it happened to me, I just turned around and ran and bunny-hopped like a Kinderguardian. Enough DPS and he'll move around another corner in the hallway. Use the corners, DPS and kill adds. He'll then teleport into the final room.

Skipped Skolas the first week so today was my first experience with him on Solar burn.

One try. Got him on first freaking try. Solar burn is easy mode, damn. No wonder they're patching it out.

If someone has trouble with this with 3x Horns, you're doing something terrible wrong We placed our bubble on the left side, but not where I was used to. For the past two weeks I've placed bubbles right in front of the door where enemies spawn on the left. We went up the stairs and placed the bubble up there. Gjallarhorns, reload and synth inside bubble. First mine spawned, one guy ran to get it. By the time he was there, Skolas was dead.

This is the first and maybe last week I'll do it 3x. Also, got Lord of Wolves and my god this thing is fun in PvE.

The first group I ran it with we had a lot of trouble because Skolas just kept getting too close. What's funny is when we changed or strategy it only took one try. Second group I ran with it took 3 tries and we also had the bubble up the ramp instead of in front of the door. In a way I'm glad that first run took so damn long because it got me VERY familiar with the encounter. The week before I didn't learn shit because void burn was so damn quick and easy. It only took one try.
