Here's a good guide to assist you.

You'll be looking for Shot Package, at minimum. Anything else that increases your range will be preferred.

If am not mistaken, yes. Shot package is the essential (and broken) one.

Yes, Shot package is a must.

GR won't be too useful in PvP. If that was SP instead, it'd be a keeper even without Aggressive Ballistics. Don't break the bank looking for the perfect roll but SP is vital to having a good Crucible shotty.

If you completed the queens missions for HoW, and the CE Eris stuff and gotten to level 4 for Eris, and level 3 with Petra, you can buy shaders from them as well.

Variks also has shaders, but holy crap do they look bad on most armors.
