Yeah man, this can happen. Before I received my gaf account I used lfg a lot and I had some great groups. I also had some that were a complete waste of time.

The lack of matchmaking for anything outside raids is really dumb. And I would argue even raids need that option.

Nightfalls need mm. No question.
Raids... sort of. I don't think they could have just straight up mm. Maybe if you got a team of 3 together first, it'll match you with 3. Maybe if you completed the raid 5 - 10 times it'll let you mm. Maybe an in game lfg. Idk. But it should have something. Bare minimum it should have an in game lf call sign on everyone's name.
100SC later I still don't have that.
I had six chest engrams in my vault, and I decrypted all of them on my Titan, and I still don't have it. That's why I decided to stop popping 3oC.

Ever since i started using doctrine of passing in crucible i started noticing how annoying and how much a hinderance aim assist is.
Ill be firing in at a guy to have someone else cross the path taking my cross airs with him. Taking my kill and getting me killed in the process.

I'm probably done with Tuesday raiding after this week. Been done with Nightfalls since Week 2. Irno Banner is hard to get excited for, since I don't care for 6s too much.
But I think I'll stick around for Trials if people will have me. Will you be on tonight, Ape? I have a Challenge Mode to do, but other than that, I'm available. For cards or bounties.

Pretty much. You can usually tell within the first 30 seconds of joining chat whether the group will be a good group or not.

it makes me a little melancholy to ponder the state of the game at the moment. Fallout 4, as fun as it is, just doesn't have good shooting mechanics (at least, relative to Destiny). I'm hoping that there will be groups to continue doing challenge modes at least, until the drip-feed turns back into a spigot/flood with news of the latest content release.
you know you don't need to actually capture the relic, right? all you have to do is actually initialize it.

The true test of an LFG group was Year 1 trying to decide if you were going to use a Heavy Synth after your 5th wipe on Crota. Before the Heavy Ammo glitch was fixed and Bungie didn't even deign to have Xur sell Heavy Ammo synths every week as a stopgap.
3 of coins lasts until you kill an Ultra or complete a Crucible match.
There's an invisible cooldown where killing another Ultra or completing a match really fast will have a reduced buff.
Generally you should use a coin for every third match or Strike boss.
Do not use more than one at a time.

Really? The language is unclear on the trophy then, I assumed "capturing" a relic meant actually claiming it through the whole sequence.
Don't expect anything big. First event of the year was said to be similar to Festival of the Lost event. It's the event after a lot of us are looking forward to.

The Division, Dark Soul 3, Uncharted, and No Man's Sky will hold me over until Destiny 2. It is a great time to be a gamer. January is a slow month but February will create a streak of great games.
I still need to play bo3, fallout 4, Wolfestein & the DLC, batman Arkham, the order, and ds2. Then I want to play UCC, UC4, and DS3. Will wait for reviews on NMS.

Witcher 3, Journey are the two at the top of my list that I already own. I'd like to get Arkham Knight & Legacy of the Void.
And I'm always off and on playing Diablo 3. It's so good. I hope Destiny one day gets to this level of awesomeness and developer love.

Just popped in to do some crucible and maybe get lucky and found this mayhem clash on the front page, gotta say im having a lot of fun with this lol. Looks like the fatigue is setting in pretty good which is sad, but hopefully I'm around when some new stuff starts drawing people back.
What was the consensus around here of the new raid? You guys enjoy it? I'm no where close to worrying about a group for yet, but if it's really worth getting into a couple times I might work for it a bit. Anyway, glad to be back, hope you're all well.

Destiny completely killed by enjoyment of FO4. The gunplay (I know it's a different type of FPS, but still) and inventory management made it more of a hassle than fun.
I loved FO3 so maybe I'll give it another try. There isn't anything happening in Destiny for awhile anyway. I'll need to train my brain not to play it like a shooter lol.

Um uh... We'll get a new emblem on 1/12!!!!
Outside of that, Trials will still happen each weekend and probably another IB before the next update. But until then, enjoy the freedom!

I liked it for awhile. Probably played about 12 hours before i got bored. Destiny has made me a lazy gamer.
Although 2016 looks promising for me.
