Similar to Bungie's D2 content, you must keep OT title expectations in check. If it's not
Destiny 2 |OT| 1.5 in the streets, 2.0 in the sheets
there will be riots

Same... Admittedly they've shown very little but the gunplay/gameplay looked extremely boring and clunky to me.

Anthem still has the benefit of the doubt.
Destiny 2 no longer does and the gunplay/gameplay has taken a nose dive.
I didn't like either of Bioware's last 2 games so they definitely don't get the benefit of the doubt from me... Also gonna be their first attempt at this genre....
I agree about D2 tho.
The gameplay trailer started off on the wrong foot for me. It may be "real", but I don't like people in an other-worldly type fantasy game talking like your friends would in regular chat. "Let's wait for so and so - he could use the XP". That just pulls me completely out of the world they are trying to sell. Shades of The Division and it's friends-chat style trailer.
Just a little too laid back and casual, like, this is all a cakewalk. No danger. No stakes. Yawn.
Dunno having the trailer radio be super serious would be more cringe worthy.
Remember this.

Took almost 3 years but finally earned Guardian Lord. Doing Crota flawless was a great night. I need to go back through the old threads and find the screenshot when that was done. Would still like to do WotM and KF since I've never done them. I realize that will be a challenge since we're in a dead period leading up to D2.
Destiny 2 |OT|
They are always underwhelming. You really would think that 1 out of 44 would be good, but none of them were.
Hell, most weren't even average.

edit:
Found the post way back in OT 14. That was a fun night.

Boo.
Wagon?
"HoW Comes, No Raid?" is pretty fucking good. Lots of others are pretty good too.
Merci.
D2 is harder, faster, stronger. Well except faster. And stronger. Let's hope gunplay isn't like the beta in final version. If it's like the latest video that would be better.

Good night, moon.
Good night, chairs.
Beautiful! <3See you all in the new world, Guardians.

Too many people to leave behind to go PC. I could see myself just getting it to see it as a showcase but not do much beyond minor stuff. Would be really nice, in fact the greatest thing Bungie has ever done if there is cross save and or play.
See you all in the new world, Guardians.

Actually I think a lot of the OT titles were pretty good. Most of them are of the form you had to be there to get the joke though. Game of Thorns was very accurate at the time. Also Suros was very dominant at the beginning and the OT titles were good.
Congrats Ernie! When did you start running more than one character?
Thanks! Finished my Titan yesterday to get GL and Warlock was the week before. Levelling those was a grind... Kadey helped me get the strike trophy yesterday and I did the Salvage trophy last week after finding out you could do it solo in a private match.

Does anyone have some Elite controller setups they can share? Everything I have found in search is dated 2016 or worse.
Echo'd. I was also one of the (many) D1 peons that tagged along for a newbie raid (Kings Fall).Just want to say thanks to you Hawkian for taking me through my first raid, VoG and streaming it on Twitch. My sister, brother and mother watched that run, and watched me die repeatedly during the long hours.
Whaaa? You can?!
I tried so many times a couple years ago for the Flawless Raider trophy, but it never worked out....
Can you go back and do Crota with lvl 40 characters and get it easily now?
See you all in the new world, Guardians.

Salute to a fine guardian willing to wade through the darkness just to hold the hand of another on their path to glory.See you all in the new world, Guardians.

The disappointment room would have been my fault. I will take that fail and own it.Fantastic. Glad we were able to get it done and finally get you to Guardian Lord status. I'm so happy that the Gorgon Maze didn't become The Disappointments Room.
Soon it will be time to be scrubs once again, just with a little muscle memory.
Can't wait to share it with y'all!
See you all in the new world, Guardians.

Wait, next OT isn't OT45?
But the 10 years plan...
And we are keeping stuff from Destiny 1!
._.
In that case What are you gonna do with your monster PC that you just built for Destiny 2?
See you all in the new world, Guardians.

I took it back with an apology! Seeing them all laid out like that made me realize the error of my thinking. Glad, at least one did!Welp, as much as I hate to give it to you since you were throwing shade at the other OTs' titles, I chuckled at this one.
Good night, room.
Good night, moon.
Good night, cow jumping over the moon.
Good night, light
and the red balloon.
Good night, bears.
Good night, chairs.
Good night, kittens.
Good night, mittens.
Good night, clocks.
Good night, socks.
Good night, little house.
Good night, mouse.
Good night, comb. Good night, brush.
Good night, nobody.
Good night, mush.
Good night to the old lady whispering, "Hush."
Good night, stars.
Good night, air.
Good night, noises everywhere.
Thank you John, LT, T-44, Gutz, and Kreep for this, and Dorssom, Hudson, Colonel, wins, palom, Carbine, Squall, Jay, rasengan, and Rubenov for making raiding something I embraced instead of ignored. Thank you to anyone who ever came out to a Newbie Raid for fueling one of the most satisfying addictions in human history. Thank you Drizz for being the guide and presence that we all needed. Thank you to literally everyone else I've ever played with in this community for the hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of hours of memories.
A lot of peeps seemed shocked that I didn't already have Flawless/Guardian Lord but I don't really "go after" stuff like that in gaming. It was only at the beginning of this year I realized I was in striking distance of the trophy and because I am stubborn and weird I only wanted to cross the finish line by doing a Flawless Vault of Glass, using Hawkmoon, the Praetorian Foil and Corrective Measure. Thanks to a very accommodating group I was able to do so tonight in one try. And we only had to panic-murder three Gorgons to do it.
The truth is I'm actually a lot more "casual" than much of DGAF... indeed, this is my first-ever Platinum or equivalent trophy, for any game in any generation. But it feels right that this was my first one, and returning to the place it all truly began to get it done was the perfect farewell to a game that, for all its flaws and frustrations, for all the drama and salt it has induced, for all the steps forward and back, is undeniably one of my favorites of all time.
See you all in the new world, Guardians.
