Level 28 lock here, I haven't raided yet in Destiny, but used to raid tins in WoW (vanilla into Cata). Do any newbie friendly groups ever come into this thread?

Edit: the post above is a good example. Guess that answers my question. I'd love to join, but I won't be available at that time.

So far, everyone on GAF has been willing to help newbs to some extent or another. I don't have a "raid" group, but have managed to hook up with a good mix of new and experienced gaffers three times for raiding. My schedule fluctuates too much to be in a dedicated group.

Just post here, or if you don't get enough people, post in the OT. Also get a lot of gaffers on your friends list.
 
Level 29 hunter with a raid primary maxed out and a full build. Also have a 28/29 Titan friend on Xbox One we have raid experience and know the tricks. If you got new ones we are capable of listening. Looking for experienced raiders to do it once a week. We were also hoping to do it on hard soon, but normal is fine for now.

Anyone else need a group for just the final Atheon battle?
I've tried with randoms many many times but the away team always manages to screw up each and every time I get a group together. I'd love to finally put this glass bastard down.

I've become proficient at slaying supplicants though, so as long as I'm not part of the teleporter away team I think it'll be fine.

Question for hard mode raid vets.

Killing Oracles and general main weapon DPS:
Fully Upgraded Suros Regime
Fully Upgraded Atheon's Epilogue
Fully Upgraded Vision of Confluence

Which is the most useful? On normal it's Suros without question. A void secondary to quickly knock out Praetorian shields is all I really need. Does hard mode change that? Is Oracle disruptor necessary?

I only have the epilogue and suros. I'll say the seconds you need to spare inside that portal make oracle disruption very much worth it.

also, most of the people that are doing the raid here are from raidGAF, I presume?
 
Hey I am wondering if some people would like to help me finish the raid on PS4. I made it to the last boss but mis the time to finish it with my group. level 25 Hunter and let me know :)

edit: i dont mind starting at the beginning as well.

Looking for a team to help knock out the last boss on the raid. Finished it all but Aetheon but my current team fell apart before we could finish.

Whoever we can match up I'd like to make a stable weekly team with. I play late night so looking for after 11pm MST time. Mics would be helpful.
