If the hour wasn't getting ludicrous and the number of new and ridiculous ways the game was glitching the portals wasn't getting infuriating, we could have finished it off. Maybe next time. :)

Still, the journey was fun, as was the conversation. Good times, all told.

Fantastic group of guys and some amazing and hilarious moments were had along with several utterly badass situations. Unfortunately glitchy portals and teleports ruined the end of an otherwise amazing raid.

10/10 would raid with again

So this might seem like a dumb question, but what steps do I take to go about finding people to do the weekly heroic strike with?

I've joined the GAF group on Bungie.net, past that I'm a bit flummoxed

(Maybe ELI5 if you can, I just got a PS4 a couple weeks ago and never owned a PS3 - don't have much experience with these things, even when played WoW I'd only join for a few months at a time and only joined casual guilds).

Just post in here, let people know when you intend to do it, what you want to do, what time zone, what system, maybe your lvl and class although for weekly it dont matter as much as for a raid. As you add more and more people as you play with them you'll end up building up your friends list and will be able to directly msg people on PSN. In the meantime don't be afraid to post in here, also check for other people posting looking to do the same. There are people looking to team up for weeklies all the time.

If you're around GMT+2 feel free to add me (ZonySUX), I play weekday evenings and weekends and dont mind giving a hand on weeklies.

Me and a friend (both 27 hunter) would also like to try for a first time tonight around 8pm berlin time (20:00 CEST). I would actually prefer all first timers so it is more of an adventure. I fear that with experienced players it could be become a: Go here!-> Now go here! ....

me and my group did it for the first time last week and we all new, was damn good fun :)
 
26 Hunter signing up, BriareosPSN. What are people using for voice comms on the PS4 these days? I have an old Jawbone that I used on the PS3 but it's dead as a door nail battery wise.

I know a few people that just use the headset that came with the PS4 that plugs in tot he controller, works pretty fine.
 
Xbox One: Looking for raiders with experience to help me/my group through final two stages (relics and Atheon) of normal mode raid.

On Saturday, friends and I got to the last section, but didn't succeed in getting both relics. So, we need help with that part, and then Atheon.

Looking to recruit 4 other people to raid with this upcoming Friday. A buddy (level 28 warlock) and myself (level 29 warlock/28 hunter) are looking to dive into the raid for the first time. Wanting to play legit and would like some gaffers to fill in the open slots. Either new to raid players or some experienced ones, doesn't really matter. Just wanting to do this for fun and enjoy it for the first time. We've both watched several youtube videos of the different stages and it honestly feels a bit overwhelming but we are looking forward to it. Please respond in this thread or send friend request to the7thAssassin on PS4. Will repost this mid-week when the time gets closer.
 
Would anyone be willing to help carry my level 25 Titan alt through the Nightfall? It's got a bunch of hand me down exotic and legendary weapons so I'll be able to atleast help out.

Gonna attempt the raid with my buddies tonight (on normal) but I need some more people to fill in. I also have the checkpoint for Atheon on hard if anyone needs it before the weekly reset and hot fix cheese nerf for knocking him off the edge.

I'm a lvl 28 hunter. US CST zone. Gonna be around 6 PM or so. I need 2-3 people. Killed the boss a few times but I've only done the raid all the way through once so if anyone has any pointers that'd be great.

I only just last night hit 26, and the only legendary weapon I have is a machine gun, should I not even be thinking about attempting the raid yet? Or if I get on a decent team can I make an impact?
 
I am going to try this one more time and start off by saying that I have satellite internet and on occasion I do lose connection and have been "replaced" by a few groups that I got into from this thread because of it.

With that out of the way I have completed VoG on hard mode several times and have a lvl 30 because I am an alternate for another raid group. I can do all jobs in the raid competently and am well geared.

I am looking to run the raid more frequently and have 2 alts at 28 and both are well geared. If there are others in the same boat as me connection wise or don't care about the occasional drop add me to your friends list to run the raid.

For anyone who would like some help running the Nightfall/weekly I will gladly help out or even teach you how to solo it, just remember that I may get dropped but will be back.

Just saw the Bungie.net update that they will be patching it so that Atheon now randomly picks 3 players from the group to teleport instead of the 3 furthest back. That sucks.

No exotics. The only exotic I have is a helmet I vaulted for my warlock alt.
