I guess I'll do some quick impressions.
First off, everything surrounding the story concept, the universe, and the setting has me completely hooked. The question of whatever force battled with humanity and nearly drove it to extinction sounds like it'll fill a similar role to the concept of the Forerunners in the Halo series. It's that one mystery context that'll, hopefully, help make players want to explore the worlds they're playing in and drive to figure out all there is to know about the Destiny universe. I already want to explore this Last City, Mars, the Moon, and...everywhere! Everything about these environments have me super excited.
Graphics, at this point, I don't really care about. What'll keep me coming back is how well the game plays and how much fun I get out of it. I'm playing Halo 3 five years after its release not because I think it looks good, but because I have so much fun with it.
Great to hear that there are single-player components, and am intrigued by the competitive multiplayer. Halo has been the only multiplayer game that has ever gotten me genuinely hooked, so if anyone can get me hooked on another multiplayer mode, it's Bungie.
Very nice to see Jason Jones.
I went in today with low expectations about what was going to be released, and I was more than satisfied with what I got. I'm worried about some things, like if there's ADS, but those are a mere pittance to how excited I am. Bring on Destiny; it's been too long, Bungie.
