is that working right? I'm in the DGAF group, but when i try and "set as playstation clan" its telling me my application is pending. i thought during beta setting the clan was all I needed to do without further acceptance.

So... kind of a dumb question, but didn't see the answer anywhere in the OP: what exactly does being in a clan do? It doesn't seem to auto group for strikes or PVP, I don't see any stats or quests or collections in game, and nothing really shows up online other than wall/forum.

Is it just a mostly placeholder thing in game that doesn't do anything besides set a 3-5 letter tag?

OK, so I'm an absolute moron, but I can't work out how to actually... use the clan? I have my clan tag in game (EU 2) so I'm all hooked up properly, but that seems to be the extent of the acknowledgement of it in the game. I'm only level 4 so maybe it comes later, or maybe this is it? Is the expectation that you just team up on PSN (or whatever) independently of the game itself?

Apologies if this has been answered already, but what is the difference between a Group and a Clan? I've been accepted into the EU2 group, but not into the DestinyGAF primary, yet I have the option to set EU2 as my clan (haven't clicked it yet).

Also I assumed that any fellow Group/Clan members would show up in a list in game allowing for easy joins (a la Warframe), but that isn't the case here? You have to manually add them as friends on PSN? What the hell is the point of joining a Clan if this is the case?

Either way, I'd like to play with some fellow GAFers but sending out friend requests to everyone in the list seems a bit tiresome.

So if you fancy partying up, send me a request (PS4 - PSN ID is Clarence_Beeks), I'll be around a lot from now through Sunday.

Edit - I have a lvl 4 Hunter, a lvl 8 Titan and a lvl 12 Warlock.

You should only be joining one of the EU clans. DestinyGAF EU is open to about 3 more members, and after that EU5 is the next one to fill up.
