I split my time between GMT -7 and -6 (Calgary and Vancouver), but because I'm an insomniac that makes my own schedule, I only ever play games between 3 AM and 6 AM.

I have quite a few friends in Asia that I played with almost constantly during Alpha/Beta, was there lag? sure a little but honestly it didn't break the game for me and more often than not in my case it was lag free.

We only remember about 3 or 4 games that were unplayable.

I guess it's a gamble but I feel you may be fine if you choose to do so. The faster your internet the better it will serve you in a situation such as that.

Don't worry, Bungie has shut down clan access to everyone essentially booting us from our clan(s) but not our group(s).

All we have to do is re-apply to our chosen clan on September 9th, when it's all up and running again.

You may not have set to active clan?
If thats the case, the clan could be full, and you no longer have the ability to join East 5.
