I had no idea Contradiction existed. Bought it on Steam, played two hours of it and gotta say: Thanks OP! This game is great.

I had my doubts about another Riki. Hell, I had straight up concerns.
But Jenks doesn't command God tier music follow him around, nor does he allow for 60+ hours of constant cooking jokes.
I almost made a Tatsu character of the year thread, but this will do.

Seriously just get it and play through it it isn't that hard a game to play.
And really the acting feels no cheesier than whatever the hell kind of acting people eat up in call of booty games.

You don't ever have to spend a cent to get dozens of ace badges, and the bunny is totally cool with that (as opposed to the American Streetpass bunny who tries to guilt trip you into buying, screw that guy). It's fun to pop the app open just to see what the bunny will come up with this time, apparently his grandmother was a bounty hunter like Samus and he has a crush on Animal Crossing's Isabelle. The bunny freaking rocks, EA wishes their devil was a tenth as cool.

It's thanks to 156 people, plus the dev team, that Contradiction exists at all. Really amazing stuff.

Man, that's a small budget to work with. £4,010 = $5,981USD, and with only 156 backers too. SteamSpy shows that they've sold 16,474+ copies plus there's also the iOS version. So at least they made a profit even if it didn't sell huge amounts of copies.
Yeah, I noticed it immediately because I've recently been watching some old movies where that was standard procedure.
(Well, not color correcting as such, but putting a filter in front of the camera)

I sincerely doubt that any character this year could be better than Mettaton, but I think you've sold me on Contradiction, as well as on Jenks being a close... Well, I can think of other characters that I really liked from this year, but he looks pretty fantastic; I'm sure he's in the Top 10.
If anyone's curious, he's from Undertale.
I'm sure one of the millions of .GIF's of his EX form would make a better case for him, but Mettaton's such a late game character that I worry that even his rectangle form could be considered a spoiler.

I saw a real-life clip of the actress that plays Emma. It's very odd to hear her real Irish accent. She does a very good middle-class home-counties act.
I wish I could travel back in time and put £200 on their kickstarter to appear in the game. Maybe I could've been "drunk guy in the woods".
I've not completed it yet, but every time I play I want to bump it up a place on my GOTY list.
