Deus Ex: Mankind Divided |OT| We Asked For This

The negative reactions the whole microtransaction stuff is completely unwarranted. People are being ridiculous and this game seriously doesn't deserve the hate its getting from a small minority of haters. First of all, the game can be played completely without paying any extra money. Secondly, most players wouldnt have even noticed they were there if it wasnt for the outcry of hate.

So what if the publisher added extra bonuses if you want them, Hell, it helps support the devs if people do decide to purchase any of them. The only part that does seem a little suspect is the whole one time use preorder/season pass stuff. Yea it sucks but they transfer over when you play the new game + so it really doesnt matter if you used them already.

Not only that. The early game stuff will be unbalanced and less interesting to play if you pay extra money. People who deactivate all booster packs clearly get the best experience with the game.

Where can I find the custom weapons and stuff from the Day One content? I redeemed the code but I'm sure where to go for the weapons, they're not in my stash at the apartment.

Lashley

Why does he wear the mask!?
Had to reload my save with that casino part, since I snuck in
and stole the calibrator, missing out on the guy's mission

Um are there any stealth augs in this game? lol

I'm pumping most of mine into hacking and may go into icarus dash, but what else is there, really? I'm just seeing lots of action and gunplay oriented stuff.

Any way to check stats? I'm going for a Ghost+Pacifist run so I'd be nice to see if I triggered any alarms or caused unwanted deaths (happened in DE:HR if you weren't careful :D ).

Deus Ex universe app. Don't think there is an ingame way for some dumb reason.

Also its kinda broken, I have 1073 hours played apparently. Annoying thing is it says I killed 1 dude and I don't know if that's broken or real lol.

as a non-lethal stealther you need most of the exploration augs that let you manipulate the enviroment and circumvent enemies, so hacking, remote hacking, vision, radar, lifting heavy stuff, jumping high are very important for that. the obvious stealth augs would be cloak, silent running and the tesla launcher

Does anyone do gunthrus and actually enjoy it? That Titan armor looks pretty sick.

my NG+ run is with gunning and it's so much easier and faster than stealthing it's not even funny, well actually, it still is a lot of fun. might be so easy because I have ALL augs. titan armor looks and is pretty cool, it makes you invulnerable.

Completed game and didn't get Foxiest of the Hounds - You triggered zero alarms during an entire playthrough -achievement. I don't remember triggering any alarms. If I got spotted I reloaded save. Does "searching" status count as alarm? If so then it's super easy to fuck up that achievement and force a lots of save loading.

Sucks so hard as I intentionally played it so there wouldn't be alarms.

That said game was great even when ending felt tad unfinished and rushed. Ending itself didn't feel abrupt, just little unfinished like in HR. I think at the end it's very obvious why story goes like it does and makes sense.

Edit: Pacifist -achievement was easy to do, just had to check every knocked out guard that it didn't bug out and kill him.

Fucking hell i'm having to make a binary choice and have no clue which one to go with. I think it's fairly late in the main story,
i have to choose between allison and the bank
. Have no fucking idéa what the choose. Might as well coin flip.

if you still got an alarm, did you still get the tutorial prompt for it?
I got that till the end, that's how I knew I'd get the achievement.

The invisible one you have at the start is a staple for a stealth playthrough. It also lets you run through lasers undetected.

I skipped all tutorials at beginning, maybe it disabled those prompts? I never remember seeing any tutorial stuff post-prologue forced ones where game asks if you want know more. Even in prologue I didn't trigger alarms, I paid attention to that.

So I've been playing through Human Revolution for the first time before starting this up, and I was a fan up until the first boss fight where you can no longer stealth/hack your way through. The combat in the game is abysmal, which is the main reason I've been stealthing through in the first place. Considering putting the game down now just because of this.

Does Mankind Divided have anything you can't stealth through like Human Revolution's boss fights? Is the combat manageable?

The game is easier than I would like. Ive barely upgraded my guns and I'm still able to kill everyone really quickly when I get spotted which doesnt seem right

Director's Cut is mandatory for HR, remade bosses for more options. Including stealth.

In MD you can stealth everything.

Finished the game and then did the Desperate Measures mission... no idea why this is separate. Doesn't make the slightest bit of sense for it to be. It would fit perfectly into the main game. It comes with the base game. Just. Why? (It was good, a nice little area and all, I just don't understand @_@)

Has anyone who didn't have the Subway crash got a PC save on Mission 12? I'd really appreciate it if you could upload it to help us pass it in the meantime between patches

Playing through Director's Cut, and it looks like the methods they made available, at least for the first boss, literally just involve extra rooms with weapons in them so you still need to deal with actual combat rather than avoiding having Adam walk into that room out in the open like a dumbass.

Good to know that about MD though.

So true, it's baffling. Anyone who is still playing the game should go ahead and play it any time after M05, it's a waste to play it after you finish. It's a totally competent mission but it's clearly an early game level both as far as story and difficulty are concerned.

Devs said Director's Cut gave every boss lethal, stealth etc. options so you don't suddenly need do combat if you don't want to. Maybe you just missed something? I haven't replayed HR after release of DC tho so I'm not sure.

Fade to Black
has a surprisingly dark ending. Black dead with his informant having seduced and lied to him and the smuggling operation continues without any retribution. Not to mention Jensen ends up being hustled twice as well.

I
don't think Jensen cared that much about if operation stays up or if he gets used. He was chasing after friendly agent with intention of pulling him out, alive. He was too late.

Two things:

1. To ask a question I asked earlier:

Question for Main Mission 05.

So I went in silently and ONLY knocking out guards. Yet when I got out, they acted like I went rambo and was killing guards? Do they always do that?

2. Is there a way to check time played on the PS4 version? I really want to know. I'm on Main Mission 06 but I feel like I must have over 10 hours already.

in my first run I was not spotted but I did knick out one guy but I hid his body, did anybody find the knocked out dude?

Restarted my newgame + because I accidentally locked myself out a sidequest.

Since I'm playing a murderous psycho this time I'm really going all out with it instead of killing anybody in my way I go out of my way to kill everybody in my ao that I can't talk out of a fight

I liked how Miller commented
"dammit Jenson police are claiming another Augmented terrorist attacked"
in Mission 5.

was wondering why I didn't get the last side mission.. it turns out you can
confront the people in that samizdat mission and have a conversation battle? I just went in, saw 4 people there and tossed a gas grenade and it was over lol

oh well playthrough 2 I guess

HR's directors cut is an essential playthrough, not just because of reworked bosses but more because of the developer commentary.

It's separate because it's a preorder mission.
People who buy the game I'm the future won't get it with base game.

It's probably one of those missions that was cut due to having low story value and also because it was too easy but they included it as a bonus for preorder purposes.

Yeah you can
get some dirt for them and hack an antenna on a rooftop. This changes the newspapers to feature their articles.

I like the gameplay but I can't help but feel Eidos Montreal's DX universe has taken a considerable step back from Human Revolution. It feels like the game has inherited some of Thief (2014)'s clumsy DNA. The narrative is really awkward and contrived (even for a goofy DX game).

HR had Sarif, Malik, Frank Pritchard, Hugh Darrow, Eliza Cassan, and William Taggart, who were all relatively well thought out and felt appropriate for DX characters. I haven't run into any interesting people in my first 6 hours I've spent with the game.

That said, Prague looks incredible, and the level design is amazing.

What mission are you talking about?

SM12 K is for Kazdy.. I never got any call, and I didn't do the stuff w/ the antenna in that mission Chang gives you, I'm about to head to London which I assume is the end

Pulling off such a heist in a condo complex. Unlocked a storage locker that had a vent. Inside there were two jumps inside the vent that needed an aug.

Nope, found two crates and carried them over, through them into the vent. Stacked one a jump, then after much patience.. through the other one into the next vent to make the next jump.

Hello restricted room.

Another location in Prague.
This was in front of a cop, heh.
Vent jump.

Wouldn't you just get stuck behind that if there was no invisible wall to stop you?

I apologize if it's common knowledge but thread search shows that no one mentions where you can pick up a tranquilizer rifle, in case you picked the stun gun at start. I found quite a few stun guns but this is the only tranquilizer rifle so far. It's in the opened container in the lower left corner,
the door on the right is to Ivan Berk's computer
.

Sorry about that. It's just a facebook post made by the voice actor saying that it was a prank, here's a copy and paste of what he said:

June 9th
To Hell with transhumanism. If anyone from the video game Deus Ex comes on here wondering about why I am not in the new game go figure it out. I won`t trash talk about Eidos or how I was treated but let`s just say they DID NOT have my back when some losers reposted a video I did for a comedy channel and all the backlash from that. I was blacklisted as an actor before I did that game and let`s just say it lead to nothing even though I was nominated for a voice acting award. Such is the life of a T.I.
Ironic that 20 years ago I just wanted to know who had beat my wife(at the time) and what maggot threatened to hurt my 4 year son if he talked to me. Hide your heads in the sand Entertainment business, you make me sick. That world will endorse or protect pedophiles, rapists, ANYTHING to keep their jobs. Eat me!!
p.s. note to Eidos, the producers of Deus Ex...I hope you list ALL the voice actors this time because on Human Revolution you just happened to forget to list my name, or put down for David Sarif -actor unknown. Strange huh. Of course after I complained it was finally listed to me. No one else was left off the credits just yours truly. (with sarcasism) No, of course I`m not blacklisted. Fuc off cowards!!

Edit: Please ignore my previous comment that Square was the one who chose not to bring him back. Stephen Shellen states back in July that he was the one who chose not to be in the game. Sorry about the bad info at first.

BioShock Infinite is like playing some homeless guy's vivid imagination
Dunno why I put points into Smart Vision. Might reload a save and pick up a different AUG. I feel like it reveals too much and makes exploring less interesting.

Damn invisibility allows you to get through lasers undetected too? I've got that fully upgraded and didn't know that, that sounds OP as fuck tbh lol. Absolutely loving the game, i've (almost) finished the first mission in Golem City earlier, I turned it off right outside his door.

Is there a way to check your playtime on PS4? I imagine mine will be a lot higher than average, such a great game to wander around and get lost in.

Loving the game so far but man it's taking me a bit to get used to the controls. There are a lot of layers to the controls and a lot of system to try and remember.

Sprint being mapped to triangle and crouch to R3 is fucking with me lol. I've died more than once trying to wrestle with the controls during firefights.

Yeah the controls are a bit odd. I dont like that L3 is cover, and I've thrown grenade by accident a couple times.

Yeah, it trivializes a lot of stuff. You can walk through so many chokepoints when cloaked and no one realizes a thing.

----

Is it okay to post end-ish game screenshot yet? This game really needs freecam and stop hacks :b

IT GETS YOU THROUGH LASERS???

Yeah, cloak and just walk through.

Giving the three vials of neuropozyne to the guy outside your apartment, yes or no? Is it worth it even if I intend to explore every inch of the game by myself?

If you're thorough it seems you'll always have an excess of neuropozyne so I'd consider the intel provided a fair trade. As in I think it's easier to find neuropozyne than to find the info provided.
