The RIP is already available on various torrent sites... Anyone have info about this?

The DMC3 trial version comes with Biohazard Outbreak FILE 2. Some shops are selling it separately at US$10 here in Hong Kong.

Yes, one of my friends already played it. He captured some videos of his playing through the 2 stages included in the demo and posted them in a Chinese forum. Dante's new moves and styles look awesome!!!!! Badass Dante's BACK!

Looking forward to the full release.

Have you guys watched the IGN DMC3 diary from E3? The person presenting the game reiterates over and over again that Devil May Cry 3 "will kick ass like the original...LIKE THE ORIGINAL... LET ME SAY THAT AGAIN, LIKE THE ORIGINAL!" LOL, Capcom wants the DMC1 fans back. Plus he even says the reason for the change in DMC2 was to make it easier for casuals to take notice and beat the game unlike DMC1.

I am unsure yet if I want to import Outbreak file#2. Sure I want to play the game and all and gett he DMC3 demo.... but for $60... I got other stuff to buy. Oh hell, at least CVXFREAK will get it and offer his impressions if I don't.

with handle bar moustache and leather cap as options....

or hardhatted construction worker
or red indian outfit...

it's all fitting into place... with a name like Danteeeee, you can see whick direction this series is going.

Capcom are going for the Pink $

Link to this diary..? Please?

p.s. does it support hdloader?
It does. It's pretty cool demo btw. I like it a lot better than the second game, that's for sure. Also, although I wasn't much of a fan of DMC1, this definitely looks to be a lot more like it, only with better graphics (they at least use flicker fixer now) a lot more fluidity, new moves, and semi-automatic camera (you have pre-determined camera views but you can freely adjust them or rotate the camera around with the right stick). Cut scenes are real time, except for the intro animation, and look much better than in DMC. Loading is super-fast with Hdloader, btw.

I had a chance to play with this demo for a while, and so far I love what I've seen...

It's a little hard to describe, but the gameplay feels *much* tighter than DMC2.

At first I tried playing it straight out like a plain hack + slasher, but then after loosening up a bit and trying out a bunch of little things differently the variety in the new combo system really does open up the gameplay.

The real surprise for me was being able to (putting it in a spoiler because this was a real surprise to me)
knock down an enemy, jump on their backs and skateboard across the room spinning and shooting as seen in the trailers IN GAME
.

The framerate is solid(I've only noticed slowdown very briefly - like 1 second or so), the graphics are pretty impressive (though honestly it's not going to compete with the likes of Ninja Gaiden in the technical department).

The demo has English voice acting, with optional Japanese/English subtitles, and so far it's a lot better than DMC2. Dante definately feels more like the one in the first game and not the mellowed out one presented in DMC2.

Wow, the demo rocks. This is what Devil May Cry 2 should have been. If you like action games, or the first Devil May Cry for that matter, then DMC 3 should not disappoint. I love how you can switch weapons on the fly now instead of going through the menus in the original DMC. The combos can get even more insane now

If you hated Devil May Cry 2 and was worried that this game would suck, well...no need to worry anymore. It really does rock

The only problem that I have with the demo is the camera, but you can manipulate the camera by the right analog stick and even center it by pressing R3, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem

Yeah I watched two of my friends play the demo today (I couldn't be arsed to play it on a TV with composite cables :p), but I really liked what I saw... And shirtless Dante is hot!

I only played DMC1, so I don't really know what people mean when they say it's not like DMC2.

Hell yeah

Nothing like doing the 'nun-chuck' shotgun style move then switch back to the pistols on the fly and finish them off or just hacking them up with the sword

AFAIK, camera also adjusts after you lock on someone with R1, so that works to your advantage too.

I know I am a bit late, I have just got it today, it looks and play great, the smoothless and the crazy gun firing just feel super cool, heh !

Tried it yesterday, and I must say it kicks all kinds of ass. I never did play Devil May Cry 2, but DMC3 feels like the first one but with tighter controls and a higher pace. I also like how you can choose different styles, and switch weapons on the fly. Great thinking.

And the intro movie with Dante and his brother fighting in the rain was awesome, went great along with the epic music. Too bad the music during fights is a bit 'loud', but I can live with that.

Also, Dante isn't as cheesy 'cool' as in the previous games, he's making fun of the enemies in such an arrogant and degrading way. I like it! :P
And I was quite impressed by the voice work (English), compared to how they've been in most other previous Capcom games.

This demo shows great potential. :)

That's true. For some reason whatever over-the-top coolness they did in this demo just doesn't feel as tacky as it did in first DMC, where I hated it as it was just screaming 'juvenile'. I think voice acting had something to do with it as well. If you want to sound intentionally cheezy you better damn right find some good actors that can pull that off. It's working in this DMC3 demo, it's actually funny, in the tongue-in-cheek way, and not cringeworthy.

The gameplay video was my first time playing DMC3, so you can expect it to be not pretty, heh !

The cut-scenes are rather good.

Oh and to do the 'surfing' move on enemies, you have to press the circle button + (I THINK) in conjunction with one of the top shoulder buttons. I forgot though...I remember doing it a couple days ago but I forgot to post about it so my memory is off. The circle button is definately used though

I like how the cutscenes are over the top like that and you actually play like that during the game

You jump on top of an enemy when its lying on the ground and press square :D
Arial Rave rocks! I just do high time, shoot twice with the pistols, circle x2, pistols again, circle x2, pistols again, and finish it with circle x2 and triangle to bring em down! :D
