I might wait for a video blog to tell me what's interesting and new about this, otherwise for WoW players it seems pretty similar.

With the AH searching being so customizable in D3 (don't even know about that advanced search) it would be nice to be able to have wishlists. You know, those GG pieces of gear that you want to really finish off your character. Instead of having to search by hand for each one, you could populate a wishlist per character and have it search for that on loading the AH, if it finds anything new it can notify you. It could be managed as a separate tab on the AH.

The problem with this is the utter randomness of properties on items.

You'd limit not by item name or type but by it's stats which is already supported in the AH. The basic idea is saving a set of search parameters and running them automatically when you start the AH. It's just easier to understand as a wishlist.

Well if you want mana steal you can just search 'Of the Bat' or whatever level you want of it.
Seems fine to me.

15% AH fee seems high.

I'm guessing the 15% is only for ingame auction? Didn't they say RMAH will have a flat fee and 15% for RM would be huge.

Edit: If Blizzard wants a huge fee on RM they should just announce something like 50% fee on every transaction and immediatly release beta, voila, nobody remembers the 50% fee anymore.

See this is what worries me. If people who are 100% certainly meant to get F&F beta invites don't have them yet...
I am hearing conflicting reports thought. It is pretty conclusively all of EU that isn't getting invites? Or just some people falling through the gaps?

An official answer would be awesome. I'm not sure how long I can wait to know I'm not getting an invite. I'm certainly far too impatient to wait through another wave of F&F testing :3

RM fees (both listing and selling) are confirmed to be flat.

There is a % fee if you want to take money outside the system through Paypal (which should not be a surprise, paypal already charges a % for everything).

I also know someone how got into the F&F Beta but is yet to be activated. He even has it in his Games in Bnet but he just can't login yet.
I have to agree that I would implode of disappointment if there is another wave of F&F before the closed beta.

This is the invite email.

PD: Rescued from this thread.

It asks for your freaking password, you shouldn't need to ask if it's legit.

edit: while I'm here, does anyone know how I can post in the Diablo3 forums? You need either a WoW or SC2 account to login. My WoW subscription has expired but I have my SC2 install right here, how do I tell it that, yes, I own SC2? Can't find it in account settings anywhere....

In Top right there is "Account" and then just Add game.

I would welcome fake invites at this point, so that just for a fraction of a second I would believe I was going to play the beta.

Then I don't get what you are after. I have SC2 in there activated and it just shows my SC2 name and portrait when I browse or post in D3 forum.

yeah it only shows my old wow characters in that drop down box.

MrKnives said:
Weird. It won't allow you to post with expired WoW account?

no, which is fine. It just doesn't seem to realise I have SC2. I'm updating the game now and will log into battle.net with a game to see if it trigger anything...
edit: well it shows up fine in the sc2 forums...

Official answer: They didn't send yet EU F&F invitations, and no idea when.

I could have swear reading Bashiok's post about people playing it in EU too.
Probably what they mean is they haven't sent out codes to EU employees and set up servers there? Because I'm pretty sure (from polls) there are Euro players in the current F&F beta, probably given keys by being friends/related to US Blizzard employees.

I ask my friends who work @ Blizzard in EU.

So is it right to assume your friend knows when the closed beta starts or if there will another wave of F&F beta before the closed one. If so is it right to assume you too know this information too and are willing to share it via PM? :P

Oh damn I can play as Brad Pitt, that's cool

Active Ability - Lord of the Flies - Summon a pack of wayward children to fight for you inflicting 125% weapon damage per attack for 20 seconds.

Yes, Brad Pitt is fucking awesome in Troy. Hector got no love, drug that mother fucker all the way back to camp. :O

I'm a little worried about the respeccing ability. I love that its unlimited and free to swap skills, I'm not so hot on it being doable while in a dungeon. I would love it if I didn't have to accustom myself to swapping skills in between battles in order to be an above average player.

from what I've seen, it's still a pain to switch mid battle, enough to want to avoid it.
we just don't know enough about the later game to know how being able to swap out skills on the fly will affect your survivability. Or how runes affect it...

So, we'll see if my original prediction will come true or not of beta starting today.

While the timeline I put together from the SC2 beta doesn't coincide with how the D3 timeline has progressed, I do still think the timeframes are likely to be very similar.
