Diablo III |OT| Stay Awhile And... *click* *click* *click*

Ok, did any of you Euro guys have a problem where your options were set to connect to American servers by default and so you couldn't sign in? Cus I did and I feel slightly stupid :/
 
i'm confused, i chose as a witch doctor and it started off with a melee attack mapped to right click. but as soon as i levelled up and got whatever ability it is you get, i can't do any melee attacks at all. but then what is the point in equipping anything? i can equip bows, axes etc but there doesnt seem to be any point?! shields seem to work but apart from that...

its kind of annoying because i'm getting lots of drops for melee weapons that i cant use. is the witch dr supposed to carry mana enhancing weapons but not use them or something?

i thought i remembered getting drops for stuff like fat wizard staffs and stuff when i played as a wizard, which actually made sense.
 
So... is this always online crap for the single player campaign a hassle for the player or is the service responsive and unobtrusive enough for you not to notice?
 
I've gotten in as well. Seems a bit easier to get in again if you get bumped out, too. Yay!
 
Why the fuck does it show my real life name? how the fuck can i change that?
 
Welp, got about 40 minutes of play in, got to the Cathedral. 8 hours of work and then it'll be time to pop back on, no doubt you dudes will be way ahead of me. XD

Apprently you don't use your weapons much in Diablo 3, they are mostly there for the stats they give. Most spells scale with how much dps/damage the equipped weapon has.
 
Well UK copies are beginning to arrive in the post so expect the server to get worse from the next hour onwards. MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

No idea why I'm laughing, I'm trying to get in too. :(
 
Looks like things have settled down hither.

Only level 5 but tired
as hell.
Got a pretty decent weapon much earlier than I had found anything comparable in the beta, so am happy.

On my wizard I just swapped the starting wand for some pure melee sword that just dropped from a boss and I'm doing10x more damage now and attack speed is much faster too
 
Well, finally got in and created all my characters. Started first game and yep, Blizzard fucking lied about the asset loading issue being fixed in the retail build, still stutters when new effects, animations etc loads for the first time.

Wat? my brother plays WD found a bow and can't use it??

I find that hard to believe.

Been playing all night, got in pretty early. We're taking it slow, trying to check every corner and such. All in all, it is amazing. Honestly, I do not remember D2 very well. But D3 has lived up to my expectations, if not exceeded them, so far. Guess I won't be raiding with my Shaman tonight.

oh so i just equip the best weapon but don't actually use it? seems kind of weird.

not sure i want to stick with witch dr. i'm mostly just blow

ing dudes while my dawgs do all the work. the firebats effect looks pretty bad which sort of ruins it.
 
Helping unloading truck didn't help speed up time a bit...

Energy drinks and vegetables are prepared as is unlimited tap water.

I am prepared.
