Damn, just logged out to check something in the AH and server go down. A hour ago or so I was able to play on while they were down :/ now hanging at the char selection screen.

So are sets and legendaries 2 different types of items? Are are set items just a type of legendary?

Also, which one is better?

Demon Hunter with Multishot + Fire at Will, and Preparation + Punishment is amazing. I'm just shotgunning down whole packs of demons without breaking a sweat.

Like how the Demon Hunter was first introduced? Or just portraits with text? Guess I'm not far enough, just hit level 3. Looks like I might need to start over. I can't resume my game.

Sets and legendaries are different types of items.

There is no 'better'. It really depends on what kind of stats they get when you identify them. A good magic or rare item might even be better if it gets awesome stats.

Yeah, the intro scene is one of those paper style cutscenes. There's maybe ~3 per act. Then there's also a bunch of ingame cutscenes, I think you get the first one when you head down into the monastery.

Yes it is. I planned on doing exactly that, but I need the discipline from Preparation on HC :/. Felt to risky with the Punishment rune.

Taking a forced break due to the server issues. My friend is Barbarian rocking 250 dps, and I'm only at around 180 dps.

Monk is fun, but I find it kind of clunky. And I'm starved for spirit all the time. Wishing I went DH, but having fun still.

I'm impressed with the length of the game. Act 1 took us like 4 hours. Act 2 has taken much longer.

what a mess. get to nightmare -> crash -> can't log in -> decide to help friends on normal -> crash -> can't log in

There's cutscenes like that after every chapter and then one CGI cinematic at the end of each act like the one you got when the game booted up.

Getting the same error. Totally brought my flow to a screeching halt. Know what I'm saying?

Wish MP3 for PC was out today as well :(

Enjoying wizard, damn the Barbarian really crashes through the game even at the very beginning. I'm going to try the witch doctor out I think...

Well there so far from the beta, I remember the first scene with Leoric and rescuing Cain.

Ok so im logged in & playing, my saved game is fine - but i have lost alot of achievements.

Should I tell blizzard or just carry on & hope they get restored?

This was 45 minutes ago. I wouldn't hold them to the 1 hour expectation, but hopefully soon.

I've been able to log in each time I've tried. o_o Just lucky I guess. Still haven't started playing though, waiting for my friend who decided to get a boxed copy instead of digital. SO HYPE.

Alas, authentication step before the hero list isn't even going through anymore. Planning today as my D3 binge day wasn't smart, I guess. Maybe I'll actually get to play on Thursday or Friday, when my friends have beaten the game already.

Playing lvl 9 Witch Doctor and I had the default Ceremonial Dagger for 2 hours. My posion darts were doing 2 points per hit and I thought I was kicking some serious as at that point. Until I decided to just upgrade the dagger despite never actually using it and then my poison darts are doing 9-10, basically bull dozing everything with darts and bats.

It's pretty cool, but weird. Can't help but think it's unintentional.

Heh, of course it's intentional, that would be one hell of an exploit otherwise.
