Did I get ripped off?

Few weeks ago I took some Nintendo games to Gamestop to exchange them for money. The games I traded in are ones I don't play anymore or aren't interested in.

For Nintendo 64: 11 games, 1 controller, 1 rumble pack.

For Gamecube: 3 games.

For Gameboy: 16 games, 1 game genie, 1 game boy (old skool one), 1 game boy pocket and 1 game boy color.

Total = $72.40

I'm not complaining about how much I made, I'm just wondering if I could have gotten more if I took it somewhere else? I'm putting the 72 bucks away for my Dad for Christmas.

Game stores ALWAYS rip you off if you go the cash route. They even rip you off if you go the credit route, just to a lesser degree.

A game store is usually going to give you 40-60% of what they will sell it for.

So Yes, you definitely got screwed. If you want to maximize profits, always sell your stuff yourself.
