Infinity Ward (whom I love) elected to skip the whole public beta thing this time for MW2.
They felt that a couple dozen (hundred?) staff members, testers, pros, friends etc would be able to get the job done.
The game hasn't even been released to the masses yet, and already under the map glitch videos are appearing: http://www.videogameszone.de/aid,69...arfare-2-Glitches-auf-der-Takedown-Map/Video/
My questions are:
1) Did Infinity Ward make the right choice by not going with a public beta? (free* widescale debugging)
2) Will Infinity Ward approach glitch fixing like Valve/Bungie (within 24-48 hours) or like Treyarch (3 months)?
* I use the term "free" loosely.
Discuss.
