Definitely look like typical modern anime character designs (i.e. flat) so not sure whether I like it until I see it in motion.
I think Sailor moon crystal (another design I hate.) has more personality than this.

At the very least, they seem to be completely throwing away the whole "Mimi moved to the USA" angle. Although I guess it could be just a "she did move to the USA, but soon afterwards came back to Japan!"

Tsuritama designer (one of the best ever, up there with gundam seed/fafner designer, and Devil Survivor one) for this is making digimon relevant to me again. Ah hope the writing and friendship is good.

I really hope this project has key animations that can top some of Tsuritama's high points. A great strength of a style like Uki's.
if the art style/animation is anything like tsuritama it will be everything but generic.
Tsuritama is seriously a beautiful show.
