I ended up calling Amazon Customer Service about this, because I was getting Gravity Rush Remastered on release day and both Digimon and GR:R come out the same day. Rep told me that they were coming from different places so he couldn't get Cyber Sleuth to me day one, BUT...he put a rush on it so it would be delivered on Feb. 3rd instead of the 4th for no extra cost.
Might be worth calling up customer support to see if they can get it to you a day earlier.

More will probably be covered in the OT, but, like, don't worry about fucking up a Digimon by digivolving it early or late or whatever.
Digivolution is so lax and free-form that it's pretty much impossible to mess it up.
Also you catch Digimon by seeing them a bunch. So say you see a Gomamon in the wild. You'll automatically scan it when the battle starts and get, say 20%. Fight it 4 more times and when you have 100% you can spawn your own copy! Keep building the percent (dunno the max in this game) above 100 and you'll get Stat bonuses.

standalone game, iirc the only sequeled games are digimon world, digimon world :next order . Re:digitized is sorta a reboot in a sense. But besides that, know that there are alot more digimon, iirc both metal greymons are in the game (Chaos/virus... whatever the blue design was and original) OH and its sub only. Most people get surprised due to that dumbass trailer that had an english narrator.

Honestly, that's usually me for most releases. But not this time. A Digimon RPG done right needs my Day 1 tag on it! I hope enough others feel the same.
Can you escape just after the scan? Or do you have to complete the battle?

The max is 200% and it is always best to convert at that percentage, if you can.
I'm pretty sure you do not have to complete the battle, but I can't remember.

I don't remember exactly what the game was but wasn't there a digimon game that had that similar mechanic? I think it was the ds ones

Yeah, most of the DS games are called "Digimon Story" in Japan. This game follows up on the mechanics in those (but improves a lot of it, imo).

I've never played a Digimon game before, but I have been looking forward to this release for months now. The more I read about it, the more hyped I get!

I'm super excited right now because this is one of the games that is pushing me in getting a PS4 (the other being SFV).
I'm also getting this game on the Vita since I've been waiting so long for a new localized Digimon game, I want them to continue localizing them moving forward. I'm hopeful for that as they have shown that they care for their fans because of the petition (signed).

Wow. I know some people do this, but I don't think you had to go around flaunting/proclaiming stuff like that. No shame.
I'm all for Day 1 purchases as I believe it's worth letting devs and publishers know we appreciate their hard work and more, and would like to see future titles being brought over.

This is a really shitty stance. Can you imagine if most of the people that signed that petition did this? We wouldn't have a single chance again to get this kind of game localized.
I didn't sign but I already preordered. I hope more people do this to at least even out the signatures.

Man the box art is so good, just a shame that the Vita version is missing out on that.
Also the game is releasing next week and I have no idea how much Namco is going charge for the Vita version, I kinda need to know so I can buy the PSN cards.

They are the first Digimon you get in the game. You have to choose one. Not much significance beyond that.

If you mean are they going to be obtainable in the game, then absolutely. Those are all rookie level Digimon. Starters, if you will.

Is this the same version that the UK will get? I pre-ordered the game from TGC and I am a bit worried that it might not include the Pre-order bonuses. Would be great if the UK version had the DLC codes inside the box as well, since that would mean that every retail Day 1 copy will include it regardless of retailer.
aren't these games the same across all pal territories? if so, that same game is in all europe

I think Digimon world 2 was more like Pokémon, but it's been a while.

word. i'm predicting street fighter will be #1 but I hope digimon still charts.
i guess for me it'll be between...well damn i like agumon and palmon and hagurumon. i liked palmon's personality in the anime i thought she was sweet, agumon is obviously a champ and i liked hagurumon in dmw2.
na.. for a game like this if they're on the cover but don't appear in the game, i'd call it false advertising
i was asking if they have like, actual roles in the campaign.
