the digital vita version is $39.99 in NA store ( the page is not up yet )

I live in the UK, but that would be roughly £27.78 so Namco would probably charge £30 for the Vita version...hopefully.

na.. for a game like this if they're on the cover but don't appear in the game, i'd call it false advertising :p

Reminds of the PAL box art for Digimon World.

You couldn't get Gomamon and Tentomon in the game nor was the game related to the animé.

This is a really shitty stance. Can you imagine if most of the people that signed that petition did this? We wouldn't have a single chance again to get this kind of game localized.

I didn't sign but I already preordered. I hope more people do this to at least even out the signatures.
Makes petitions like this pretty moot if people do that crap.

I think that is why petitions are pretty moot to most companies. They are a decent gauge of interest but they don't correspond to sales. Hell Gaijinworks did an interest poll about straight up buying a game and they had several hundred people who never bothered to purchase it when it went to the buying phase.

Finally pulled the trigger on a Vita 64 GB. So dumb how expensive it is, but considering all the digital only Vita games/PS+ games we're getting and my 16 GB card being nearly full, it's about time to switch.

And normally I would just import the Asian release for Digimon, but I did sign the petition so I definitely feel obligated to buy the western digital version.

I'm just happy we get a fricken turn based RPG for current gen. I was looking in the store and dear gosh we are severly lacking in......JRPG's in general.

I mean what Disgaea is really all we got right now, Zesteria is......yes, that gameplay was not good. Sword art was a bummer for me......just wasn't that fun.

FFVII which is a remaster is the only other turn based RPG I think.

I thought you were talking about Vita for a moment and I was quite confused :D

Get a Vita/PSTV, it's drowning in JRPGs. And not just the embarrassing kind. Trails in the Sky and Trails of Cold Steel are huge, quality games.

At this point, you basically have to own a PS4 and enjoy whatever you can find.

I know this isn't for everyone, but there's Omega Quintet :)
And FFX / X-2 is always worth a replay!

Just checked the Amazon UK product page again and it states in the description that:

DLC is available in box for the 'Day one edition' only.

DLC content:

Avalable in box via a PSN code.

Seems like the DLC code is in the box and therefore not retailer specific. Will keep my TGC preorder for now and hope for the best :p

Does this game have dual-audio? Never played a Digimon game before but heard this one is good, so kind of interested.

Slightly related, I really hope the upcoming Digimon Linkz might get a worldwide release. True virtual-pets app for Digimon.

Suppose it'll largely hinge on how Digimon Heroes fares.

Yeah, I think they know this is only gonna sell to the hardcore side of the fence. What they're hoping is that enough of the hardcore will buy in so that it's a profitable venture.

Isn't that kind of problematic considering Digimon is a kids property?

It likely would've been too costly to make a dub since I doubt they expect it to sell particularly well. They don't dub the more niche anime games like this and SAO, usually.

They should have went with dual audio if they wanted that to be ensured.

Huh? How would dubbing it ensure they made a profit? I doubt many people who were considering buying this game are going to suddenly turn away from it because of a lack of dub. Considering Namco likely thinks they are taking a risk on this game anyway, it makes sense why they wouldn't bother.

You underestimate how petty people can be. :p

Yeah dual audio would have been cool but at the end of the day I'm buying this to experience the game and support Digimon in the west. The voices that I'll forget about in a week after beating it have no bearing on my decision.

Not fussed about dubs, will still buy and support. I hope AUS gets a release on the 5th like Europe, even digitally. Havent seen anything about it over here sadly.

Once Digimon starts showing some numbers, I'd have little doubt that dubs/dual would have a more expected outcome. Not that I personally need them, but it would help for wider appeal.

Fair :p. Most people, I imagine, won't be turned away from it though considering it's a niche title.

Cyber Sleuth is not aimed at kids. Its aimed at much older teens and young adults.

Its basically an SMT/Persona style game in a Digimon skin. Its also not aimed particularly at previous Digimon fans as its completely self contained away from any of the other digimon properties
