I thought they kept hinting a continuation of the story but I guess I just mistook the next chapter occurrences as being part of the one before.

Trying to put together a well-rounded team for the colosseums is challenging, though. Never seem to be able to use the Digimon I want.
It's interesting that unlike games like Puzzles and Dragons or Pokemon where you can brute force through most opponents with a type disadvantage, in this game being at a disadvantage is basically a death sentence. You really can't do much with a mono-type team.

You hit the part where the game goes from decent to amazing.
For a roughly translated low budget Vita game, the ending really touched me in a way that I haven't felt since Digimon Adventure.

You should try to max ABI so that you can get the most from the bonus stats. Also, the DEF penetrators you have sound similar to what I had. You should try stacking Acceleration Boost on your WarGrey before Tornadoing if you can. Keep at it and they will miss an obvious heal time within a couple turns, in my experience.

Damn, these last few colosseum rounds and the DLC quests are no joke.

A few questions:
I got a digimon at lvl 99 with 247 attack but his mega evo needs 250 attack, wat do?
Can you only get enhanced stats by using digifarm? Is there a max?
Last one, digivolving before max level doesn't matter for stats right? Excluding abi which might be higher if you max lvl before evolving.

Yup, gotta use the farm, whether it's training or food.
And no, digivolving before max changes nothing but very minor ABI gains. Most ABI comes through dedigivolving.
Yeah I'm gonna give it another try in a little while, I'm really close to getting lilithmon (only 10 more Intel to go and I'm sure she'll get them in another training session in the farm) so I might just take her and bug them.

i really don't know what to say about the story, but it is really good. i'm someone who watched digimon as a kid and really appreciates games for their stories, and this game has kept me damn captivated.

Man this is such a nice break. Pokemon's 721 Dex is gargantuan, but Digimon's 240 is easy and straightforward. Plus digivolution is addicting af to see what you're gonna get.
Im only 20 hours plus in and at chapter 11, but it's really good. The first ten chapters feels like the start of a new anime series where they take the time to slowly introduce characters and world setting concepts. There is a good mix of main story centric quests and standalone stories. Some are serious and some are funny. Then it all builds up to a big mid season climax in chapter 10 where all the plot lines converge and major developments happen. Sogood.
Done and done. Using Jesmon made quick work of those swords.
I do wonder though if the fight is possible without Jesmon or Craniamon?
Use the Digifarm for training. Make sure your Digimons personality is Fighter (He'll get a small bonus to his attack as well then just by being a Fighter personality)
For Digivolving, yes. Any stats gained using equip items (ie Atk attach items that put up your attack) won't count towards your Digivolution. Only stats gained in the farm will. Max is (ABI / 2) + 50 up to a max of 100.

So, at one point I should just drop my Digimon from my main party in the farm to get those bonus stats? And use the 30 minute option that drops CAM? Should I change as many Digimon as possible to Fighter or does it differ?
Also, I probably missed it early in the game but INT increases magic attacks and ATK increases physical attacks, right?

You're right about attack and intelligence. As for what to raise that depends on the Digimon itself and what you want to digivolve it into. Some require a very well thought out training regime or you won't be able to digivolve them.
How much bonus stats you gain depends on the Digimon's ability. The higher it is the more bonus stats you can gain, capping at 100 for both. So if you have 100 ability you can put 30 into attack, speed, and defense and 10 into SP. Health though functions differently and the gains are a percentage of the total basic instead of a set amount.

One of my digimon survived the first attack, and he only does it 4 times (enough to kill everyone if they get OSed).

No, the only thing that matters is the leader being a fighter.
If the Digimon was Brainy and the leader in the farm was a Fighter, the Digimon would get both ATK and INT bonus points.
By making the Digimon a fighter (and making them leader), you ensure that they get only ATK bonus stats (and the personality gives a bonus to the base stats as well which isn't shown in brackets)
All other Digimon in the farm will get stats based on their ABI (the (ABI / 2) + 50 thing), their personality (ie Brainy) and the leaders personality (ie Fighter).

Started playing this just today and feeling overwhelmed with all the notifications that come up telling me how the game works. I picked Palmon and scanned a few others. Two of them I know turn into Agumon and Gabumon. Those are the ones I remember from the TV show.
I'm not sure how to level up these digimon to turn them into Agumon and Gabumon. I think I found the place to do it in the DigiBank but it says it would consume my starter Digimon and I don't want that.
As for the battle system it just isn't fun at all right now. My digimon is destroying everything but of course I assume it will get more challenging. Story wise I'm just at the

My playthrough is nearing the end and so far I have a blast with this amazing game. I'm super hyped for Digimon stuff at the moment, I'm also rewatching the anime.
So I was looking for other Digimon games I could play. The Digimon World games are gameplay wise probably not my cup of tea, and sadly the next game is such a World title, but I will give it a try. But I found out that there are other Digimon Story games, three of them even were released in the US. Digimon World DS and Digimon World Dawn/Digimon World Dusk. Did anyone played these, are they nice enough to satisfy my thurst?
There are also a PSP game retelling the original anime, Digimon Adventure, which looks amazing. Sadly Japan only but a fantranslation is on the works. Can't wait to play this in the future.

You can head to Kowloon in order to grind and raise your Digimon's level.
63 hours and finished the main game and all the side quests. Not going to go for platinum since I can't be bothered to get all the medals plus still missing about 15 or so digimon. Not to mention that absolute awful 30 online victory trophy
Absolutely loved the game. Beats out both Bloodborne and Witcher 3 and is my favourite PS4 game, and if I played it on Vita it would have been #2 behind Persona 4 Golden.
I really hope sales are good enough to continue the story series (hopefully by Media Vision). It's currently sold out on Amazon US/UK and is only being sold by third party sellers, which gives me hope it sold way more than Bamco expected. My main worry with the series is the next game - Next Order - which hasn't been appealing to me even near the amount Cyber Sleuth's pre-release trailer did, and overall doesn't look anywhere near as polished as CS did.

First your Digimon (named Art) must have 100 ABI. Then you look at his personality, lets say Art has a Brainy personality which when training in the farm will increase their INT. Put him in the farm with another Digimon (named Bit), lets say Bit has a Fighter personality which increases ATK when training.
Understand the concept that when training, a Digimon will increase its stats based on it's own personality and its leader personality. Based on that, we can have Art be the leader and since he's the leader then he will gain stat only on INT. Meanwhile, Bit will gain stat for both ATK and INT because his leader is Brainy while he has a Fighter personality. The same will happen if Bit become leader; Art will gain both ATK and INT while Bit will only gain ATK.
Let's tackle your scenario now; for example we want +30 in ATK, DEF and INT with +10 in SP. We have Art and Bit in the farm and we made Bit the leader. After a while, Art will have gained 30 bonus stats on both ATK and INT. Now we need to increase his DEF and SP; we give him a Defender Patch to change his personality to Defender which will make him gain DEF. We make another Digimon (named Cor) who has a Lively personality which will increase SP as the leader so that Art gain both DEF and SP. Once he gained 10 SP, we change the leader back to Art so that he only gains DEF. We leave him till he maxed out his DEF at 30 and Art's training is finally finish.
Now Art has +30 in ATK, DEF and INT with +10 in SP, maxing out his potential with 100 gained bonus stats.
You can go to places with wild Digimon encounters to grind EXP and increase their level. Placing a Digimon inside a DigiFarm will also increase their level slowly.
You can also go to the DigiBank to check the requirements to digivolve them by choosing the Digivolution option. Pick one of the Digimon to see their evolution tree and once you meet the requirements, you can digivolve into them.
The place that you mention is the Convert option in the DigiBank which will consume a Digimon to increase another Digimon's level.

Do you have Jesmon? If so, cast his second signature ability right before Omni Sword and you'll survive it.
Uhh, you should be able to?
1. Is the bonus stats maxed out? (as in, do you have 100 ABI and thus 100 bonus stats of whatever stat you want)
2. If so and you want to change it, there should be some items you have that will decrease the stats. (forget the name off the top of my head). Use them until bonus stats are 0.
Use Farm/Personality change items and get whatever new bonus stats you want.
Made it to chapter 12. The story is moving so fast now. I wasn't really expecting the plot to be this ambitious for a Digimon game. Media Vision really knocked this out of the park. The music is getting better and better and there's quite a bit of variety in locations too. The chapter 12 looks great so far!
