DW1 essentially is a "true" Digimon game, but it can be difficult for someone.

It is possible to keep a champion alive long enough to digivolve without feeding them chain melons or digi-sea bass?

Yes it is. Digivolving into an Ultimate is a big help, obviously, but that can be difficult (unless you go with Meramon like I usually do). The usual range for death is 15-20 days into a critter's lifespan, so plan wisely and know what you're doing with training and digivolution.

No official complete release in R1 I'm afraid. I do believe Australia or the UK got a real release.

Watching 22 eps I can agree but its a 2 man show. Taiki is there for the human help and shoutmon for that hot blooded shenanigans. There act would be shallow without the other.

Good god no. If there's one thing Tamers sucks it's their evolutions being horrible - it's a mish mash of normal evo, to using "items" (cards), to merging. It's like they can't pick a thing.

I think it's a new take though - an evo that doesn't involve Greymon becoming upright.

And yeah he has, since Dawn/Dusk I think.
