Digimon thread

Oh man I guess I completely forgot about Ba'almon/Beelzebumon. I think he'd actually take the top spot for other Digimon. Cutemon is definitely still up there though.

?!...well that would explain the familiar sounding condensing I know it all voice. Man the pool of vet voice work is what really made Xros Wars part 1.

Yeah he is Aizen.

That's why people joked that he is "Aizenmon" and in the final fight they said Knightmon used Zanpakto or whatever that sword growth attack is called in Bleach.

Just wondering to the people here, how strong is MangnaAngemon from Adventure?

Could he beat Digimon like MetalSeadramon or Machinedramon 1-on-1.

How strong is Skullgreymon compared to the other Greymons? I like to think he is above MetalGreymon...just because I'm a fanboy.

Apparently they retconned his strength to be only good vs. Virus.

Some say MagnaAngemon > Piedmon and since hes stronger than the other Dark Masters should be able to solo someone like MetalSeadramon a weaker Dark Master.

Im thinking though, Wargreymon's Dramon Killers couldn’t scratch MetalSeadramon from the outside, MagnaAngemon’s sword is not going to do any better right? He doesn’t have the strength to resist MetalSeadramons bite force if he gets trapped in his jaws nor the velocity and durability to get through MetalSeadramon’s River of Power. His Gate of Destiny is going to have a hard time manoeuvring close enough to pull in MetalSeadramon who like likes to fight and move around in the air.

His Angemon line has shown to one-shot or at least hurt badly digimon a level higher but what they all had in common was there Nightmare Soldier Type. Some people think though the Angemon-line is just straight up one level stronger than hes labelled i.e. Angemon = ultimate level, MagnaAngemon = Mega level etc.

What do people think?

He probably has a little more raw power than MetalGreymon in the anime, but most would say he is disadvantaged without the ability of flight. He would get hit more often than MetalGreymon hence eventually lose the battle.

Well Angewoman is ultimate level, so it is possible.

MagnaAngemon did fight BlackWarGreymon, whom was later prove to be equal to Tai's WarGreymon. So maybe that will give us an indication.

Angemon didn't fare so well against Okuwamon (although it was made of control spires) so that means he likely only can really hurt Nightmare Soldiers up to one level higher. He probably would have done poorly against Etemon too.

Yeah, it was nice fight but digimon fans still debate who came out on top in that scene. If you consider how much effort BWG put into fighting WarGreymon and how against MagnaAngemon he just stood there blocking, while MagnaAngemon was trying to use his 2 powerful attacks against him at the same time.

Even on his way into the Gate of Destiny he was able to toss a TerraDestroyer easily enough which if not aiming at the Destiny Stone, could have sent it to MagnaAngemon instead (achieving the same result..?), if he wanted to fight and defeat him instead of his mindset of destroying Destiny Stones like 80% of his fights in 02.

Which is why I love Xros Wars - it tossed away power level bullshit since it is apparent that the series doesn't follow them.

I dont like how they nerfed Lucemon though. Or the Creator of the Holy Beasts (digimon's name escapes me) who basically became another digimons horse/steed.

They technically didn't nerf them - it's after all this Digimon's incarnation.

And technically speaking Lucemon is still dangerous - him and Arkadimon (another powerhouse) are the only ones who manage to eat data.

I guess, its just Frontier Lucemon FM was busting 2-3 moons with ONE attack, and his SM followed his profile in which you can only defeat him by destroying his Larvae form inside that dimension ball.

In Xros Wars his dragon form gets hit in the head and he gets defeated, totally ignoring the existence/weakness of the Larvae. This incarnation is definitely not as strong as the Frontier version. Which made their victory less satisfying imo.

Technically they did pull the weakness... which is Nene. By pulling her out and using X5 they managed to weaken it.

Can never go wrong with SPARROW PUNCH

Oh man when I saw Arkadimon, I was like oh s@#$ people! Due to reading the manga of course. I was disappointed at the downplay a bit but you know Xros os a good digi cocktail.

Wow, episode was great.

Also,
Mimi and Riku reappear too along with Kiriha and Nene. Seems Kiriha gets all the bitches but still is under Nene's leash.

Only tangentially related, but just saw the new Japanese Kid Icarus trailer in that thread and noticed the voice actor for Pit is the same one for Taiki.

If only I could understand Japanese...I'd probably enjoy the game twice as much as I already will (which I'm assuming will be a lot).

Oh, forgot to say that 77 is out.

Tomorrow is 78, a.k.a. Masaru punching Quartzmon duplicating Vamdemon.

Oh god that Masaru x Shoutmon back to back punching

Ok I just popped in this thread for nostalgia's sake and now I see Taichi back in this new season of Digimon. I NEED AN EXPLANATION PLEASE IS THIS JUST A ONE TIME THING!?

No one knows why they're there. Well how they got there that is. Plus that's like the only major appearance he's been in. He along with the other goggle heads made a brief appearance at an episode a few episodes back.

This will not be the last time you see him most likely.

It's not explained too. Apparently Clockman pulled them from different dimensions.

I've seen a 6 minute video with evetything. It's amazing!!!
And Ryouma...

Am I the only one thinking that the things will go so bad in the last episode that the Watchman will go in another dimension and will find the seventh ( eigth ) leader, who will be the leader of the next main Digimon series? What if he says " And I had only to go back to one of the already known dimensions to find him / her! " It would be one hell of an anticipation.

I meant more why they're there. Their purpose for being there. Bad wording on my part. :p

Xros Wars season two has not...actually made sense to me at all. I mean part two. I'm at about ep 69 and had to drop it, because, yeah. It's basically shitstorm after shitty shitstorm, after monster of the week. Not to mention that the entire Tagiru~arc, mentor Taichi thing is wearing me down.

At least Adventure 02 had the balls to say fuck Tai, Davis is the main char. This is just...yeah. The sad part is that I liked Part 1, and thought it could only go up from there based on how much promise it had. Naive.

I really don't want to power through 9 episodes just to see some good scenes. Can anyone tell me the amount of filler I can safely pass?

Basically the big bad is screwing with the Xrosverse world/dimension and the old man has picked up heroes who have saved their own world before, from other dimensions to come and help fix up his Xrosverse dimension.

Some filler are good, like the train one, the underwater one, and the Airu-centric ones.
