I had a Digimon World game... in Japanese. i couldn't fucking figure out how to do anything.
The later ones were totally different from the first one. The first one was a battle/pet sumulator + RPG. The later ones were turn-based RPGs FF-style. They sucked.

SECOND BEST GAME EVER! DAT INTRO.

Lord, I forgot how stupid the technology writing in the Movie was

oh well, the english version recognises this and lolz about it

Also, the windows 95 OS on all the computers is pretty accurate

THE EMAILS ARE SLOWING DOWN MY PROCESSING SPEED!

Ok, Digimon was the childhood show for me, and that intro was HYPE.

Keep watching. If you're not a fan by the time the 4th character shows up, then I dunno what to say. Also, please try to watch the sub if you can. I hated the dub so very very much.

Ikuto is horrible and should die in a fire =/

A Digimon fan who didn't see Digimon: The Movie in theaters?

Give me a break, man, I was in Malaysia at the time

Heck I don't even know if it came out in my country in theatres

She's a step up from Mimi but damn, they really made her uselessness visible.

Freakin' Akari did more in Xros Wars and she had no Digimon!

Neither I watched the movie on theatres... but I picked the VHS at launch.
...Yeah, I was outside the store waiting for it to open :lol

And I felt disappointed seeing it.
I don't know how :(

P.S. Episode 60 is out. Not subbed.

Yeah, the episode is awesome because it's a first time Tagiru gained a Digimon through means of friendship rather than combat.

Oh and Ren is messed up. So is Airu. Hopefully Ryoma isn't.

Seeing the preview of the 61th episode, I fear he could be messed up too :(

EDIT: Oh,so Nene now is A FREAKIN IDOL IN HONG KONG?!?!?!? WTF?!?!?!? :lol :lol
I hope we'll see her again in an episode.
Just for the bouncing in the DigiXros poses

I read that, and all I can remember is the Sandshrew guy from Pokemon...

And Paul, I hate that guy.

It's been eons since I last watched that episode. What is about?

And Kotemon's a pretty cool sensei. He smacks kendo people until they learn how to do it well.

...Nono, now we must talk about Nene the AKB1/48 wannabe. I'm surprised. XD

It's the dude who ran a near S&M level of Pokemon abuse, where he'd excessively train Pokemon as though they were soldiers, rather than friends. He changes his way once Ash defeats him with the Pokemon he raised through the power of friendship.

Not really. He shows that he cares about his Pokemon, even if he does run them into the ground training. Plus, Ash never beat him, and once the Sandshrew guy beat Team Rocket, he left his little training camp.

Ookami-kun said:
Oh that one lol

She needs to work for her brother!

But there are already his parents who work around the world.
...Really, Yuu needs a girl, to full that empty awesome loft. XD

However, it seems the kendo fighter is the first who remember perfectly what happened to Digi Quarz, even talking with Kotemon after the match, or also the robot club was conscious of what happened?
Maybe, being caputred by Digimon will become a status quo needed to be considered cool XD

Yuu already has fangirls, even though the anime make it look like he wants to have Taiki's erm... affection.

Oh, that sounds a lot less cliche than how I remembered it...

Are people seriously hating on Bokura no War Game (which, by the way, is better than Summer Wars)? >:(
ReiGun said:
Yeah it sure was cool that time Matt left the group during Spiral Mountain to have himself a good cry while Tai was busy SAVING THE WORLD. I know I was rooting for him when he decided to waste time and energy getting into a fight with Tai and WarGreymon.

Such an awesome guy, that Matt.
I did say his friendship crest was ironic!

So, um, duders who have seen "both"- is Digimon: The Movie better than just watching the three original moves? I figured the third movie got pretty much destroyed in editing (made fuck all sense) but I loved the combination of the bit with young Tai, followed by post-01 Tai in the War Game segment.

The only movie I enjoyed was Our War Game.

I wonder if Xros Wars would get a movie. I really want it if it's about a mature Shoutmon beating up a revived Bagramon, hokuto no ken style.

So I bumped into a friend while having lunch after work. He spoke about Xros Wars like the bible...Ookami-kun I going to watch season 1 soon.

So I've watched about 15 episodes of Xros Wars these past two days, overall I like it alot. At first, the whole fusion-mecha stuff annoyed me, but I think it's actually pretty cool. Really enjoying how the story is developing in this one, big difference from Adventure 01 & 02 I watched years ago. I never watched Data Squad, was that any good?

I was always curious about where Digimon originated? Was it manga turned into anime and videogames or what?

Does it have its "rules"? Every season of the show it was like a totally different world with basically no connections with each other (I watched up to Frontier I believe).

The origin, I think is a manga or their anti tamogachi toy back in the day. All season are separate post season 2

Digimon started out as Bandai's attempt to market Tamagotchis to boys AFAIK.

So basically the only thing Digimon things have in common are the digimons themselves and nothing else, right?

The only place I see people doing that is in /m/

Cool!

And Saver is good too. Just ignore Yoshino!

I thought it can't be anti-tamagotchi, since by all accounts Digimon is tamagotchi but with a bit more substance.

Pretty much. The Virtual Pet came out in mid-1997. Manga came out in late 1998.

Show (Adventure 01) ended up coming out in Japan in early 1999.

Funny enough, I still have one of the original Virtual Pets lying around someplace.

She sounded so wooden and like she was just collecting a check.
It went with her character in the beginning, since she pretty much hated having to look after Masaru and cleaning up his messes. It's not like she's Mimi, thank god.

Only the one that forsaked the goggles was able to pierce heaven with his fist.

There was one who also kicked a Digimon while being almost naked and became a partner of the Digimon version of Getter Robo Emperor though.

I just came into this thread to say two things.

1. Digimon tamers was the best Digimon show.

2. Fuck the fact that Sora married Matt. Fuck that shit!

Man, Psychemon so swag

'Tis all you need.

And then you see then get curbstomped due to have three dumbass leaders when you have a smart leader who can send thousands of Digimon at your disposal, a Power Ranger, and a dude who punches Digimon.

Lol at Psychemon image XD
However, yesterday I saw the third part of the Movie, as it arrived in the West.
So, I saw the real Movie, The Golden Digimental, in Japanese English subbed.

...

It's so different.
No, it's unbelievable how what it was originally, and how Fox RUINED it.
The original is... VERY good O____O
With a strange sad atmosphere, not so common for other movies, and so long.
Crap.
