I actually haven't played a DMW1 styled game before (though I've played Monster Rancher... whatever happened to that series?) hoping to see a good localization for this.
I do hope this game's (possible) localization has a bit more polish than Cyber Sleuth's though, ahaha.

究極進化アイテム(黒騎)

No Rina no buys
Still, fans of Cyber Sleuth will probably be happy to know that Mirei will return in this game, and that Rina will be available as part of a DLC story coming later.
Just used my code that came with the Op theme single:
It's an Ultimate Evolution item, Black-something?
I bought this without knowing that it had any bonuses for Next Order so it's a nice surprise even if I doubt I'll care much for whoever it allows me to digivolve into
It's for Alphamon. They showed the item off during the live stream that she was on a couple of weeks back.
Web site update
Details Version 1.01 patch, with a scenario involving Rina and the addition of Hard Mode.
And someone is streaming the game right now
its all good.. AS LONG AS GREYMON DOESNT KILL THE GAME AGAIN... christ talk about the worst game breaking issue of digimon world 1... its that guy if your digimon died and you just start with a baby.
How is the language barrier with this game? I previously imported Youkai Watch and was able to complete the entire game with knowing a single but of Japanese. Could I have the same type of experience with Next Order?
Do you have any experience with Digimon World, Reigitize or Decode? I think understanding the gameplay without any prior experience or japanese knowledge can prove to be a bit hard.
To recruit Digimon into town you often have to complete a side quest and recruiting Digimon is a huge part with these kind of games. Without understanding any bit of japanese it would be hard to understand what exactly they want as there is no visual indicator (at least I don't think there is). I assume sooner or later someone will make a guide how to recruit every Digimon, so you could play it with a guide I guess.
I've played re:coded on PSP, I was able to figure most things out. If a guide is ever made, I will seriously consider importing this game
Same guy from last night is streaming again
At the restaurant, highlighting a menu option will now show you the stat gains it gives, as well as how much it fills up the Digimon. That's pretty cool.
I'm continuing to F5 my tracking information, but it isn't getting here any faster.
I was originally planning on importing this, but I've been busy and now have a backlog to get through. -.-
Someone better take a lot of screenshots!
CS sold ~64,000 on physical PS4 in America. Bamco wanted all of the West to match Japanese sales (~120,000 in 10 weeks) to consider future localization.
Unless Vita and the rest of the West sales are weak/non-existent, it's looking good.
Awww snap, he's back. Will definitely check this game out if it gets ported and hopefully that is the Digimon world 1 protagonist.more than a callback, if we call having the same character come back.

For people who have it or are getting it:
Ultimate (Mega) Evolution Item (again, not sure who it allows you to digivolve to)
A (something) Melon Set
Then you should be fine gameplay-wise.
And I'm sure people will make a recruitment guide because even if you understand it, sometimes the things you have to do are a bit vague lol. But there's definitely a chance that Bandai Namco will release the game in the west, so if you can wait there's that.
I mean, after Cyber Sleuth they must realise that there are enough Digimon fans in the west who want to support the series. Also Bandai Namco seems to localize nearly everything nowadays, so I don't see a reason to skip it.
My guess would be that they'll release it around February/March 2017, similar to Cyber Sleuth.
so i have this on in the background, and every time i look and he's in a battle (which isn't often), he seems to make super short work of stuff
is he op or are most fights just that trivial?
He seems to have been grinding in the gym a lot, so I'm going to say really OP.
Well, Digimon World 1 is among my games of all time.
Is there any way to play this in english? is there a asia version?
Reading some Japanese impressions it seems the frame rate drops quite a bit during certain scenes with lots of stuff happening and really big digimon blocking the camera in the city.
Also saw a complaint about how it can be hard to progress sometimes since both your digimon die at different times, making you spend time trying to train up a baby digimon to level up which ends up with your other digimon that was high level dying and needing to retain it while your other one is already leveled up.
I was never a fan of the taking two digimon at once idea. Hope they patch in an option to just let me take one.
I doubt they'll patch something that has been advertised as a key feature. (But here's hoping)
The game in general sounds like a stinker in comparison to Reigitize, a shame.
Interested in this game, even if I dont plan on buying import for now. Im unsure if 2 partners is that good idea, but well see. Framerate does look iffy on battles.
Naturally I wanna see what kind of roster this game will have, but all I could find was japanese wiki that only has rookies list for now. Althought it would be just easier to compare changes to Cyber Sleuths roster. So unless Im looking at bad info, rookies are:
Added
+shoutmon
+gumdramon
+psychemon
+tsukaimon
+snowgumon
+clearagumon
+toyagumon black
+snowgoburimon
+auraumon
+shamamon
Didnt made from Cyber Sleuth
-armadimon
-impmon
-elecmon
-otamamon
-gazimon
-kudamon
-syakomon
-falcomon
-betamon
-hawkmon
-lalamon
-dorumon
I dont know how to feel about that.
Heres the japanese wiki site:

Using google translate I was able to read rough translation. Is this trustable source?

Huh, here is a different list: http://re-digitize.game-cmr.com/digimonworld/data/dejimondb/zukan.html
I know the URL says Redigitize, but it's for Next Order as it also mentions Mastemon and others. According to the list all the Cyber Sleuth rookies are also in Next Order.
Who knows which one is right xD
Err I think that IS Cyber Sleuth’s list. It even mentions same requirement numbers as in Cyber Sleuth and even references SP, which would be MP in World games.
Either way, I Mastemon is confirmed for Next Order.
