How is DDS anyway? From the reviews it seems worth it to pick up at that price. My main concern is how hard is it? Not that I don't like a challenge, but I don't want to throw a controller at a wall either. My last experience with a Shin Megami Tensei game was the Persona spinoffs. Its been a whole but if I remember , to me, both got pretty hard near the end, more so with Persona 1 and its save point system. The RPGs that I have been playing lately have been a bit on the easy side, (Tales of Symphonia, and Baten Kaitos being the two most recent.)
I'm nearly 18-20 hours in already I think and absolutely addicted to it. Not nearly as punishing as SMT:Nocturne, in fact the pacing is rather comfortable...for a total dungeon crawl. If 2+ hr dungeons and a tactfully engaging combat system excite you, this is your game.

Just beat the first of probably many Optional bosses, good old King Jack Frost.
Fought him way, way, way underleveled, but I discovered a cheap and easy pattern loop after much tweaking, which pretty much ensured his death, but it still took me about 30 minutes to whittle down all that health. :lol
So flexible this combat system.

That didn't last long, it aready went back to 54.99. I was still try to deside whether to buy it or not.

I see it as $39.99 on the website but cart checkout says $54.99. Tell them the site is overcharging you and you want it for $39.99

I just called the number, got some moron on the phone, I tell him I want to order the game, and I tell him it says $40 on the site but when I put it in the cart it tells me it is $55, and that is what he see's on his screen, the game is $55. So I told him well I want it for the advertised price of $40, and then he starts getting all nervous and telling me there is no manager to approve that price, and if he places the order, it will ship at the $55 price, and then he takes my e-mail to tell me they will e-mail me if they are going to honor that $40 price.
