I love her design so much

Now that I've finally caught up with the series via the Vita versions of 3 and 4, I'll probably do the console version on this one, especially since NIS' lag time on Vita ports is a lot longer than Gust's.

continuing the odd subtitles i see

A brief description on that would fit on the back of the game case without spoiling anything,

The game is about going to different Netherworlds to recruit multiple Overlords to form an an alliance to get revenge, the subtitle isn't odd or out of place.

Fun series though if they made some western-friendly tweaks they'd make more money. Less fanservice, somewhat more mature plot, less loli, and you'd have a half million seller.

played disgaea 1 for 300 hours or something.

until i realised the only thing that is changing as i progress are the numbers getting bigger and higher.

Except for when you manage to find a shortcut.

Example: In Disgaea 2, I managed to get level 1000 Laharl in my party despite none of my characters being over level 200, because I managed to find a square on his battle map where I could place a character without drawing his or his minions' attention, while chipping away at him with the outermost tip of a long range AOE attack. Then I used him to absolutely clean up for a good long time after.

Also those rare times when you can enter a super high level item world and toss your way to the exit spaces until you manage to find one with an impregnable Invincible space to stand on, especially when there are Reverse Damage spaces so your healer can get huge levels.

Those... aren't shortcuts in the grand scheme of things. The road to 9999 in Disgaea are extremely formulaic, expected system cheeses at this point, where a veteran knows exactly what to look for to find the 'intended' cheese for grinding levels in every new Disgaea game.

Pretty excited for this, haven't played a Disgaea game since the original just because of how huge a time eater the game is. Really excited for this one though.

graphics are pretty *yawn* for a PS4 game.

lol? Are you being sarcastic or have you never seen a Disgaea game before?
