is this like skyrim ?
looks really good
also horse armor for the win
I only played some super early parts of Early Access but indeed it felt very similar to TES games, with more dark fantasy setting. It's not quite the same experience but devs clearly tried to capture similar vibe to Bethesda games

Yep same here, agree with Dazraell Dazraell here. They're building what looks to be a fantastic game. I only played a little of it before shelving it to wait on 1.0 release. Really looking forward to it (assuming I can clear some of my horrendous backlog!)

My poor wallet, this is shaping up to be a ridiculously stacked year.

Still need to play the demo for this.

I kinda wonder if the Oblivion remaster will help or hurt this.
Will people finish Oblivion and look for something similar? Or will they look for something different because they've "had their fill" of Bethesda style RPGs for a while?

I have heard many good things about this game, I will probably play it although it releases very close to Doom

Man I hate being an adult sometimes, cant find time for anything

This was originally a board game i backed it on kickstarter a couple years ago... amazing table top game. I remember they were teasing this videogame version during the kickstarter so if it's anything like the tabletop game it's gonna be awesome. Glad they finally got it finished. Story and characters were great.

Sounds great. A played a little but stopped after I learned full release wipes out your save. If you like the Elder Scrolls style of game, it's pretty good.

the difference between this and skyrim is that this game focuses on storytelling and choice and consequence , in bethesda games your choices in the story barely matter

anyway , great game , bought it months ago

I played the EA of this like 8 months ago maybe.... it was actually pretty awesome but holy shit it was kinda hard lol.

If you pulled more than 1 enemy at a time it was basically lights out. Felt like playing the Oblivion remaster on the harder difficulties right now.

I hope they tweaked the difficulty just a little bit or made an easier mode. Im too old to be facing down trash mobs that hit like Elden Ring bosses lol.

But other than that it felt like a dark, gritty, medieval Skyrim. Ill definitely be checking it out.

What the hell was that 3rd person horse riding animation at the 30 second mark? Was that working as intended?

Hilarious.

Trying the demo at the moment. Only found out about this today

They need to fine tune the melee combat a bit more but wow i'm super impressed so far. We'll see how the actual open world is but man it's hitting that skyrim itch. Love how dark and gritty it is.

Give the demo a try guys.

Minor spoilers for the end of the demo:
Explore outside. There is stuff all over, even on that small island.

I've only just come across this game and it looks awesome. Has anyone here tried out the latest update on Steam Deck? I'll probably play mostly on PC but if it runs well on Deck then it's day one for me.

Will give it a go. Thanks for the recommendation.

I was about to buy the Early Access but saw on the Steam page that the EA progress will be wiped out and won't carry to 1.0 - which is a bummer.

I'll try the demo and we shall see if it's good enough to warrant a purchase. I do like the atmosphere.

I really enjoyed the demo.

Great artstyle once you leave the beginning dungeon. The aesthetic is a mix of Elder Scrolls, classical Fable, and interestingly...H.R. Geiger.

Also the devs are based, character creation is male and female. No stupid 'body types'.
