Any info on PC performance?
So is this like... secretly reading my Dishonored 2 file?
I've just begun and Billie hasand there's a photoher arm. Those were things I accomplished in my last D2 playthrough.... Also, there are references to the events of D2 happening because of Emily, not Corvo. I played as Emily for that run.of her with Stilton
Just beat Dishonored 2 low chaos. Now I'm ready. Wish I went Emily because that story doesn't fit Corvo.
Anyway ready for tomorrow.
I think in some interview the developers mentioned that Emily was basically the canon story, and that Corvo was added for the existing fans.
The game doesn't vary much based on who you choose, but it was interesting tidbit.
Man I don't wanna play through D2 again to make a save file.
Now I don't wanna start playing before I know how this works. I have to dl Dishonored 2 for my saves anyway.
I'm really not sure how it works, so I don't want to spread FUD about it. It's just that the way the DLC begins is strikingly similar to my last D2 playthrough. It could obviously be a coincidence, but everything I did in the main game was reflected in the first DLC level.
I started to check without a save on my PC andshe has her arm and her eye and says how she has nightmares about them being cut. Article about Emily on the wall in front of her desk.

Will be interested to see if it really does pull your D2 save file, because I was planning to move from PS4 to PC for this, but I won't if it is.
I don't know what this says (if anything at all), but there is an option "original game+" when you start a new game in the dlc. The option is greyed out for me despite having a completionist "perfect save" in Dishonored 2 (both are Steam versions).

Has anyone been able to unlock this early via VPN?
Yeah, I used Korea and it worked fine. I'm playing in offline mode as we speak.
Can't wait to play. Don't plan on sleeping much tonight since I'll be exploring every nook and cranny while going low chaos.
I think they ditched the chaos system for this one.
So far so good on PC. Couple points:
1 - It does not read any save files. Low Chaos + saving everyone you can has always been Arkane's default canon, if they have to choose one.
2 - Still roaming around the first area on the first mission but it runs really well on a GTX 970 while Dishonored 2 always ran like crap, even on the lowest setting.
The areas here seem way smaller but with more depth to them so I can only presume that's why performance is much better.
If the game opens up later though, it could be the same as Dishonored 2. Have to wait and see but fingers crossed.
Is Prey any good? I keep looking at it, but something I can't quite identify keeps putting me off...
I enjoyed everything in Prey apart from the bloody load times between areas. My heart sank when I realized that I needed to get to the other end of the station for whatever reason. The first 80% of Prey is fantastic.
I don't recall hearing this before "It's no surprise that Death of the Outsider, supposedly the last chapter in Dishonored's story, is focused on The Outsider."
Did D2 bomb that hard?

How long is this game? As big as the two pieces of Daud dlc or smaller? Is Michael Madsen back as Daud?
Does it have multiple endings/dialogue?
Does it have multiple endings/dialogue?5 missions afaik,so a little more than half of D2's length i guess.

The coin from contracts is automatically given to you at the end of the mission? Or do I need to pick it up in between on the Wale?
This will be the first time I go on a murderous rampage on the first play through of a Dishonored game. Can't wait!
Enjoy, my friend. Killing everything in sight is absolutely the correct way to play the Dishonored games. Guards, random civilians, bad dudes, it doesn't matter who they are, they're gonna get killed in some strange, creative way.
Ive had a rough go with Dishonored games. Ive always recognized the quality but the urge to go non lethal has always made for some frustrating stop and go/reload old save gameplay for me.
Im currently doing my 2nd playthrough D2 with Emily and going full lethal....its so much more fun.
