Disney has announced that several of its upcoming films will have their premiere dates pushed back, including the Marvel films that would have commenced Phase 4 of the MCU as reported on by Deadline.

The first movie to be pushed back is Black Widow, which was already delayed to COVID-19 concerns, to Nov 6, the original release date for The Eternals. Oh, and here’s where the fun begins:

The Eternals is now slated to premiere on Feb. 12, 2021 (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings old date); Shang-Chi will be heading to a release on May 7, 2021 (Doctor Strange 2’s old date); Doctor Strange 2 was pushed to Nov. 5, 2021 (Thor: Love and Thunder’s old date); Thor is coming out on Feb. 28, 2022, which was apparently the spot for an untitled Marvel film.

Black Panther remains in the same spot which was May 8, 2022, and Captain Marvel 2 gets pushed back two weeks, with it now slated to premiere on July 8, 2022.

As far as non-Marvel films go, Disney will still be releasing Mulan in theaters on July 24, 2020, which is why Jungle Cruise was bumped up an entire year –it’ll release on July 30, 2021.

And lastly, Artemis Fowl will be skipping its theatrical debut and will now be heading to Disney+ instead.

Holy shit they know Artemis Fowl is going to flop so fucking hard that they’re releasing it on Disney+! Fucking give the rights to someone who won’t butcher a good story for woke points.

Black Widow in November? Why so far? I need my MCU hit damn it.

A YEAR and a half almost after Far From Home. Insane change after they were packing them in for the last few years. We'll at least the return delay could be a good antidote the the alleged "Superhero fatigue" that never seems to actually arrive.

Can You Imagine What SureAI Is Going To Do With Garfield?
Only care about Doctor Strange.

Didn't even know there was an Artemis Fowl movie but then again I don't know much about that comic/character anyhow.

No we won't. They'd be losing out on a potential billion dollars at the cinemas. Better to delay it by a year than release it on Disney+.

It probably won’t make a billion in November if people are still avoiding crowds. There won’t be a vaccine then.

In this time of Corona, it is morally reprehensible for Disney to make movies with the goal of packing theaters that will ultimately lead to more death/disease. These movies could kick off 2nd, 3rd, 4th waves in the fall.

Those movies were already made or in production before this crisis. They are not making any movies now becuse everything is shut down.

You understand that right? They can't actually make new stuff right now.

Then they should destroy them. The temptation to make money while gambling with our lives is too great.

Let me guess you're one of those people who think that everyone should be out of work and the government paying for their daily needs.

In this time of Covid-19, we all must make sacrifices. For some, it’s social interaction and avocado toast, for you it’s shower-time-prostate-pegging. We all have to do our part.

Cancel the MCU. The 2020's are to comic books, what the 1970's were to Westerns.

We're done.

Never.
Maybe you hate them but millions of other people still love them. There is absolutely no sign of MCU viewership slowing down.

Oh really? How much money has the MCU made this year then? $0! You'd think of millions loved it then Disney would be rolling in the bucks but they are really losing a lot of share value.
