Sweden’s rate is still higher than its neighbours who did have a lockdown.

Im not sure what medical experience you have but maybe you should contact the CDC with your medical advice?
It's overall rate is higher, but it current rate is in line or better than most of it's neighbor.

And their economy is doing far better

Fine, then shutdown forever until covid goes away, let's see the economy bounce back after that.

There needs to be a balancing act between saving lives and saving the economy.
lockdown till covid goes away? balancing act? Covid doesn't go away because of retards not following lockdowns when it's in effect. Covid doesn't go away because of retarded anti-maskers when putting on mask is the least one can do to reduce spreading.
The balancing act that needs to happen is the disappearance of idiots who thinks this is a democrat/political virus which somehow all the world got affected.
If everyone has initially followed the shutdown properly, it would have opened up a lot by now.

Same here, every shop that has sold food, drink or hardware, has been open since the beginning. No issues whatsoever. Fucking governments are pricks

Those items are essential for survival, your shoe store is not.
Sure the big stores got a boon from being regular retail along with Supermarket and hardware, but its pretty freaking obviously why grocery and hardware stores are allowed to be open..

hope all you assholes who pressured the world to shut down are happy.

a couple months of lockdown was fine. but now we are seeing the long term consequences of the media milking this covid cow and paralyzing everyone with senseless fear.

we have to end this shit now.

people who are scared of getting covid have to stay home and protect themselves, so we don't have tens of thousands of more people losing their jobs, effectively uprooting and changing the course of their lives.

it is not the responsibility of the rest of the world to protect you.

smh, this is so fucking insane
You give them an inch....

Should have never acquiesced to lockdowns in the first place.

I’m a professional medicalologist and I can tell you, I trust the CDC about as much as I trust a pitbull.

What a moron you are. Health services have been overloaded around the world. While they’ve been dealing with this shit important life Saviing scans/treatments have also been put on the back burner while Covid cases were being seen too.
Isn’t just about the deaths, a lot of infected people needed care.
From my source: 31% of ALL intensive care beds are empty. The ones, that are full, include ALL patients, not only covid. Well covid patients are only 266, but yeah health services are overloaded. Sure dude.

Weird how everyone is a medical expert since March and knows better than the people who do this for a living.

No, it wouldn't. Covid isn't just going to disappear, it's staying around. There's no point in discussing this with you cause you're too emotionally invested.

How long did it take to defeat the Black Death?

Even the Spanish flu...well it was the Kansas flu but Spain got the blame due to not having reporting restrictions took years to go away.

There were anti maskers then as well. Looks like in every era there are people who think their freedom to spread disease is more important than saving their fellow man.

You're an idiot.

Look across the pond and take note of what is happening. All those european countries who forced lockdowns and masks more than we did had outbreaks like everyone else.

If they were actually serious about the virus, they would have mandated curbside pick up or tell people to order online and have it delivered instead.

But there where no such restrictions. People flooded the stores and they were allowed to even loiter inside because ironically, closing all the schools and movie theaters meant families just started to congregate there out of boredom.

It wasn't until after the lockdown/toilet paper buying frenzies did we see all the big box stores finally implement an instore limit although even to this day, it's not as observed as much.

And it wasn't just a "boon". I would argue it was one hell of a power grab since you can find the stories. Places like Amazon and Walmart reported their highest profits yet mom & pop stores never stood a fair chance since they were forced to close. Add those blacklivesmatter protests going around smashing businesses and it was the final nail in the coffin to small companies from being allowed to compete,

What is your pond? Fox news?

I look at statistics all around the world and no, they did not have bigger outbreaks than US. If they did, on context, it was before lockdowns and safety measures were implemented, after it was implemented and followed, it reduced.

Only an idiot thinks that mask wearing and social distancing doesn't work, and thinks this is some kind of political affair. You don't have any medical evidence nor statistics to back this up.

Never said it would disappear completely, but i guess people like you always argue by making up false assumptions for yourself, and making logical fallacy like "robbery will never disappear so there's no need to lock your house!"
But of course there's no need to discuss it further with you anymore, as the statistics and facts are out there around the world, but you somehow think you know how to handle the virus better than others based on nothing but your delusion.

I'm going to assume you're an American, because in reality every country that took the advice of medical experts limited the spread of the virus enormously. America is the worst country in the world in terms of COVID-19 impact, because lock downs and masks were considered optional. Over 200,000 Americans have paid for it with their lives. The USA is used as an example of what not to do, and rightly so. If you think anything else, you're hiding from reality with your head in the sand.

you don’t think any of those people that died had masks on?

California is the most locked down state in the US and it’s also the worst hit.

California is also the least talked about by main stream media because it’s a leftist state.
While Florida did much less with it’s lock downs had a spike but is back down already. It got hammered hard by main stream stream media.

that’s the political aspect that everyone’s talking about. Not that the virus doesn’t exist. That information is twisted in the US for political gain. It’s disgusting.

the people/media/facebook warriors still peddling this nonsensical covid fear mongering are the only ones twisting anything here. the rest of us are trying to bring you people back down to reality so you don't you suffocate yourselves, or more importantly, us.

fuck your fear. if your scared of getting sick, then just stay home and keep your fuckin mouth shut.
