This game came from nowhere and looks really interesting.

From the review here:

Quick summary:

Pros:
- Really does encourage that creative strain.
- Anyone can use this – and will have a ball doing it.
- Chicks dig music. So do guys. Become a godly music mixer and you’re guaranteed to pull.

Cons:
- Only so many music tracks you can fit on a DVD
- Where’s a Sony hard drive when you need one?

Anyone ever heard of this?

More:

Yet again – and it almost gets boring saying it – Sony have delivered a non-hardcore chunk of PlayStation2 goodness that will still be able to fire up the most hardcore of game fans. Who doesn’t like music? And it’s not even a case of having to like dance music; the sheer creativity involved is refreshingly open to all musical tastes. Yes, if you’re a avowed black metal devotee who is saving up for a black steamroller so you can mow down dance fans, you may not like it. Anyone else with the faintest urges towards creativity will find this really intriguing.

This is the program that's coming with the new PSX models, isn't it?

If so, I thought this game would have been more of a derivative of DJBox, not something that totally looks better than it. Damn :)

Well, anyway, if it is anything like DJBox (which it does appear to be due to the controls the game appears to let you have), the pros/cons mentioned are pretty much true; while there is no gameplay structure there really is no limit to how much you can fudge around with music and generate some interesting noise.

I'd be very surprised if this doesn't allow HDD use, though. DJBox requires it, and for good reason.

No idea if thats coming with new PSX models, it was just listed under the ps2 section.

The PS2 controller would make things annoying though id imagine..

It hasn´t anything to do with PSX. It´s just a funny DJ game and a colleague of mine, who previewed the game was rather impressed how fun and easy to handle it was.

Already out for PAL people. It's just a DJ simulator and apparently there is a very limited choice of music. 5/10 in Edge if anyone cares.

That´s not true.

First, it will be released in Europe in November and second there will be a plenty of tracks either, as you can see here!

Sorry - already out for Australians then. And I should have said "lack of variety", not lack of tracks. According to Edge they're all very similar BPM wise and in the same time signature. But I think that wont matter for the market its aiming at.
