Both glorious, can't chose.

Maybe django?!

Edit: yeah it's probably django, basterds has some incredible scene but overall django is more fun.

You mean Tony Scott? Oliver did Natural Born Killers. Dennis Hopper was great but I'm just not enough of a Christian Slater fan to truly love TR. It has one helluva cast though.

edit: Apologies to Pump Up The Volume fans.
Oof damn, you're right xD. Now I feel like such a fraud getting those mixed up!

I've been trying to find the alternate cut of True Romance for a good while (it's the one where
Clearance dies
. Only seen it on Cinemax many years ago haven't seen it since, but I imagine it's mostly the same.

Yes! Jackie Brown is my #1 Tarantino film

His worst film....
Yes, arguably. Sometimes I feel it’s Reservoir Dogs or Death Proof, but I enjoy both of them a bit more. Django is still good though. Even Tarantino at his worst is better than most. Jackie Brown, Kill Bill, Inglourious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood are my favorites, it’s hard to pick one. The man has one hell of a filmography.

Posted it here before, but my take is that Django should've ended when Schultz dies. You could've had it play out such that Django's final shootout & rescue of the girl takes place at that moment.

Instead it drags on awkwardly, with a Quentin cameo, a weird torture scene, and ultimately a cheesy comeuppance. It betrays the tight pacing of the rest of the film in my opinion.

Inglorious Basterds isn't my fav QT movie but it knows when to call it a day.

I agree with this, although “Bye Miss Laura” is one of my favorite moments in the film.

Someone already said it in the thread; Basterds has higher highs (opening scene, one of the best in cinema, period; and the bar scene) but Django is more consistent throughout.

To me both movies are made by their villains (Christoph Waltz as Hans Landa is iconic at this point of course; but DiCaprio's turn as Calvin Candie seems actually underrated, guy was amazing).

Slight edge to Django, for better consistency and the fact that I love me a fun Western.

The only one I haven't seen is Jackie Brown. I didn't think Reservoir Dogs was great as he seemed to reuse certain dialogue and scene structure for Pulp Fiction. It's like he said...."ooooo...I have a big budget now, I will use the best lines and other stuff for this new movie!". Wasn't a fan of OUATIH. Just seemed aimless and bloated. Come to think of it Hateful 8 was about the same. BUT.....all of the others are great....especially Pulp Fiction and Kill Bill 1

I feel that. Pulp Fiction is definitely superior to Reservoir Dogs. That and Kill Bill are probably the two I’ve watched the most. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is leisurely paced, but that’s also why I loved it. It’s a chill movie, and funny as hell at times. I get people not enjoying it though.

Jackie Brown is worth a watch. I wasn’t crazy about it on first watch over ten years ago, but it’s grown on me ever since and now it’s one of my favorites. Great characters/performances, and soundtrack.

Grindhouse and the roadshow for The Hateful Eight are some of my favorite cinematic experiences. I wish we had more of them.

Jackie Brown is more like a traditional film. Tarantino said it's not what he's known for but it shows his skill as a story teller.

Can't believe I haven't watched Inglorious Bastards yet. I think I've avoided it because I'm under the impression there is a bit too much gore.

Need to watch.

Django was the better movie, but both are lesser movies than the holy grail that is Pulp Fiction.

Django for me.

The ending of IB is just a poorly written mess.
I agree with this. Django is the better movie overall even though bastards has some great scenes. The ending with the whole theatre hitler thing was just unsatisfying

Django way more

I found Basterds to be pretty dull whenever Christoph Waltz wasn't on screen. The rest of the cast really failed to pull their weight while the whole cast nailed it in Django

IB is a the better movie, though Django was a good movie it’s own.

The only Tarantino movies I will never watch again are the 2 Kill Bill movies. Least favorite of mine.

good poll, had to think about it but I like westerns more. Adam Sandler, was on Norm's youtube show years ago. He said he was going to be the bear jew, but he instead did the movie about a group of comedian friends going on a trip and one has cancer or something.

Bastards just has me on the edge of my seat at times. The suspense in that film is something else.

How can something with a mundane a backdrop as eating Strudel literally have me shitting myself? It’s crazy.

Amazing cinema.
I remember getting chills on first watch when he ordered her a glass of milk. So simple but his performance makes it terrifying.
