Do Americans really put peanut butter on celery?

I haven't tried peanut butter on celery - but will try soon. I always think of different ways to enjoy celery - tried with all kinds of sauces including mayo, ketchup, hotsauce, bbq sauce, plain salt, various types of soy sauce or miso etc, but haven't thought of peanut butter. :)

What time is it?
Pro tip. Celery is awesome for erections.

What kind of tape do you use?

Except for food culture, murcans have been hilariously unreliable when it comes to nourishment. Driving food culture into a ditch.

No we drive that as well. We have all cultures represented in the culinary landscape here, America is a superior food destination to anywhere in the world. London being second for the same reasons, multiple cultures, plenty of money for businesses. If you list the great foods of any country, you’ll find the American list is endless pretty much. I’m a former chef, professional. Can’t think of anyone who would disagree with that I’ve worked with. Also where has the rebirth of interest in culinary education been coming from? Popular cooking shows featuring rock star chefs.. 🤔 oh wait 🦅.

I took that as a comment. Just because it's not on TV doesn't mean its not happening.

I found restaurant culture in america to be severely lacking although I indulged in other offerings.
Not saying that my food intake has to consist of about 23 different plates with something tucked into something with a jus of something, I enjoy a ton of stuff whatever height the brow.

Go to New York or any major coastal city and research where you eat. You failed if you didn’t eat well here.

I ate well on the west coast but it was a ton of work to find restaurants that didn't want you out of the door as fast as possible.
In addition to that I never have been treated so badly in restaurants of another country, not even France. Not a legit whine as I am just used to a different way and wasn't custom to the experience in america, you might be fine with it.
Restaurant culture was different.

Its not ideal but I'll eat it if someone's offering. Yes it's a thing in the US, usually for kids. I like almost all veggies in some form, but the only form I like celery is in a soup or something. It's like bad tasting crunchy water to me raw.

Ok I’m going to have to ask what country at this point. Bear in mind I’ve lived in Europe extensively. Where is the gastric destination that understands customer service where you apparently reside?

That... changes things? Lived in Italy, England, Scotland and now back to Germany. Travelling for work through all of Europe since 2013.
Please adjust your hostile tone, there is no need for it.

Its not hostile, just sensing bs. Like you were called on a statement you weren’t prepared to back up with any salient argument. It doesn’t change anything, just means I’m more fully aware of what’s out there than most. The best food in the world is in America, best produce, most climate access. I’m prepared to hear why somewhere else is though 🤷‍♂️

fat fingered it and sent the post way before I intended to:
From what I read in other threads you sense BS most of the time.

Your current great food is import, which is fine and has historically been the case for most countries. Don't care about that argument.
When I went to restaurants in America, despite looking for a typical restaurant you, as somebody who has lived in Europe extensively, would recognize, I felt that I was pushed to get in and out as fast as possible.

As an example, McDonalds failed in France for a long time as the 'system gastronomy' (that's what we call fast food joints here, 1:1 from german) because they couldn't stand french people sitting there for an hour and gabbing the day away. They adjusted and found reasonable success.
While that is not an example I want to make for all restaurants I visited in America I felt that a certain pushiness by 'wait for seating', the waiter inserting himself into our conversations every five minutes and the overall impersonality of service, impinged my enjoyment of something I otherwise enjoy very much.
I am putting that down to cultural differences, as mentioned somewhere above.

you put peanut butter on anything if you're brave enough
I hope you don't have a dog.

I forgot peanut butter existed and now I've become addicted again thanks to this thread. I'm eating spoonfuls of it every few hours for the past 2 days. It's the secret sauce, like rocket fuel. I'm surprised we let kids eat candy when this shit exists. Though I do mix it up with Hazelnut, Almond or Cashew variants.
