I live in New Jersey, the water is trash, i used to drink from the tap then one day in the winter water tasted like salt you put on the ground to melt snow...I can drink the water in NYC with a filter but NJ is cancer water..

Regulation controlled clean tap water baby!

Oh the benefits of big government and a not-free market that forces companies to all follow standards~

You have offended libertarians who fetishise profit-chasing bottled water companies that need to make the big bucks no matter the ethics or safety :p

Tap. Most of it in Seattle area tastes fresh. There's also an artesian well near me I've been meaning to hit up, people come and fill jugs up with the stuff, apparently tastes better than most bottled waters.

Up here in N. Seattle the water has an incredibly low "total disolved solids" count. My wife has a TDS meter for some finicky plants she has.

I don't remember the exact figures, but the TDS level was half what is considered excelent. and a small fraction of what some areas have.

I still use filtered water via my fridge thtough; and the TDS meter shows it works.

It also shows to take those warnings to flush your filter thoroughly very seriously; takes a couple gallons of water to get the TDS below tap levels.

I use a 200 dollar filter to clean out my water. Living in rural South Africa, I play it extremely safe with my water supply. When I'm out of the village, always bottled water if I am not in a city environment.
