Well it’s pretty straightforward, I’m almost 54 so when I was growing up in the 80s I loved popping and breakdancing, a lot of East Coast kids did. I even was an intermission dancer at the Freshfest in 83, met Digital Underground, Heavy D and Kid n’ Play. Never met him but Tupac was a backup dancer for Digital Underground at the time before he dropped his first single with them. To this day I still love watching great dancers, and I’m not bad lol.

This guy is kind of my hero lol

Always hated it. Still hate it. I blame me not drinking.

I can dance the top half of my body or the bottom half of my body, but not both. I also don’t really ever feel that need to dance. I’m more than happy bopping my leg to a song while seated.

the good news is I only feel compelled to dance at the occasional wedding, and even then, I am really good at stalling until halfway through a song, then agreeing to dance with my wife, then getting us to leave the dance floor for the next song that we both don’t know.

Yes. I can't really dance but I do a mean moonwalk. It's just the way the music moves me. I don't care how stupid I look... If I'm listening to Billie Jean... I'm dancing right then and there, doing my BEST Michael Jackson impression!

No. One time i danced soulfully in front of my wife in our kitchen. She said it was great, but i decided to wait a bit before my next showing.

That was two years ago.

Last time i was in a club was 2007 (blame grog costs in my uni town as much as anything else)

When i dance it's a mix of reggae slouch bopping and Michael Jackson.

Tool and Mogwai be my jams of choice.

no, never got anything out of it. i just dont understand what people find fun about it. im a musician and love to play music, and i love to mosh and head bang to metal, but thats as close as i get to dancing. i think for some people its a performative thing, to sho off in front of others. but then oyu have plenty of people who dance by themselves at home so...

seems like an important skill to learn fertility rate is crashing everywhere regular couple dancing gets em hot boooiiii

lol.

Dancing is fun. At minimum you should be able to catch a beat and do the side to side two step. Basic pop locking is worth knowing to add some style, like maybe 5 hours worth of practice. Also knowing salsa a little bit is good too, being able to go forward and backwards and do a spin on rhythm.

BTW all americans dance the same and repeat the same cringey moves everytime lol it's probably from a movie or something but I swear it's everytime the same routine, what's up with that
people are just as clueless as the next person and so they search how to dance, which all draws them to the same videos

for me it's a way to let loose, and there's something about moving in tune to a beat, kind of get lost in it. Going out to dance is great because you're sharing your love of music with others, and because it's social you inevitably have some fun interactions along the way. Obviously the sound is better than what I have at home, too
My approach is dance like no-ones watching. Not doing it for anyone but myself. yolo

When i was younger i was in some disco or discoclub basically every saturaday\friday night with friends.
House music, weed, alcohol and a lot of fun.

Now it is more rare but i still go sometimes where there is a special night with some famous dj.

I find it odd people don't like dancing.......guess its my scene background of people off their faces, all reaching for the lazer. Not about how you look in a club, just how much you're have it.

I miss those days, back when the wife an all her friends would make their own clubbing outfits

Here's a collage of those days, back before camera phones were a thing.....thankfully
