Do you have a cleaner?

Where do you hide when they show up and clean? Do you just sit there playing Xbox and watching them scrub your body fluids off the walls, or do you lock yourself in a bedroom or what? How can you look them in the eye when they show up and you're home?

Lol yeah

Hiring a cleaner or maid or whatever to come dust your house sounds awkward af. I wouldn’t want someone going through my personal belongings or touching my shit. I’d rather just do it myself, I don’t live in a fking mansion with 12 bedrooms.

When my mom used to host elaborate dinner parties pre-covid, she’d hire a couple cleaned to help out a day or two before the party. Makes sense. But that would be like once every few months.

I've never heard anyone hire cleaners for a party, except one couple who had a shitload of people over for an outside BBQ and pool party and they rented a portapotty!

I knew the guy well enough I used his bathroom, but he's like..... "I dont want all these fucks in my house"

Makes sense as it was a pretty open party and people invited were bringing over their friends who wanted to come, so he didnt want random people going in his house.

I do everything myself - takes about 2-3 hours to do the whole house. It's not perfect, but everyone who visits my place think my place is extremely clean.
(It's because things are very well organized, so it appears clean)

I am however contemplating hiring professional cleaning service every season or whatnot for some through/deep cleaning if there's anything like that... and power washing the exterior too.
I do have washer, but last time it took me pretty much an entire afternoon to do so, when the hired folks can do it like in a half an hour.

Got a cleaning lady already for about 12 years. 50 every week, around holidays 100 extra + some food stuff in order to keep things interesting, whenever sick gets also paid.

Where do you hide when they show up and clean? Do you just sit there playing Xbox and watching them scrub your body fluids off the walls, or do you lock yourself in a bedroom or what? How can you look them in the eye when they show up and you're home?

I basically see the person as a extension of the family, it's like your girlfriend/wife/mother cleaning the house, u don't pay attention towards it.

However mostly i sleep when the cleaner lady is here, and the times i am not, i sit in a another room, its only 3-4 hours.

What gets done are the following:

Dust cleaning, floor cleaning, kitchen cleaning, toilet rooms cleaning, sometimes ironing and windows inside every x amount of time.

She's not there to clean your degenerate student room with trash everywhere every week. if the kitchen is loaded with pans and plates, she can skip it. If the floor is riddled with junk she can skip it. This is why u keep things clean yourself and only small things like little food rests that get stuck in corners or behind burners are the things she cleans and makes sure its clean, same for floors etc.

if i have party a day before or something and house is riddled with junk and stuff everywhere + kitchen piles out with lots of trash. I basically ask her to come a day later or simple skip that week. I will clean it myself.

So there is nothing to be ashamed off when u keep your shit in a normal way.

no. I like cleaning so do it myself. Worst thing is dishes and I would love a dishwasher machine but got no space for one.
