For sure. Didn’t really care for the first one but I did it wrong and watched it at home. I’ve not seen a 3D movie at the cinemas so I’m interested in seeing what that’s like too.

Also my local is advertising it as a high framerate showing so I assume it was filmed that way like the Hobbit?

Nope, but I don’t plan to watch it ever. Thought the first movie was goofy as fuck. Can’t take those tribal cat people seriously.

Most ideally I want to wait until it is streaming as I have a nice enough tv to wait. I love the cinema but too many rude people there now talking etc it does spoil it for me. But if I can I will catch it at one of the smaller independent cinema chains in the U.K.

Also we watch plays in the theatre and see films in the cinema

Probably. No specific plans yet. But I typically go to the cinema quite a bit. So I imagine I'll see it there at some point.

Nope, the first movie was a visual spectacle for its time (and people didn't have big ass tv's at home), but that's not enough for me to call the movie good. I've seen it only once and the story was completely forgettable. I have no interest in paying to see more. When it appears in some streaming service months later - sure.

If you're not watching it in HFR 3D IMAX or at least the biggest fucking screen you can, then what's the point? The entire film is designed around the very latest 3D technology and is first and foremost a spectacle, to watch it months after on your bloody telly and then complain bitterly is missing the point, the story was never the strongest part of the original movie, it was the visuals, it's a 3hr long thrill ride tbh, not a cinematic masterpiece but who knows maybe he's improved on the firsts issues

Days like these...

That's some caveat if I wanted a spectacle I'd go see Cirque du Soleil.

Nope. The first film is a big dumb cartoon, with a terrible, cliched ridden plot. No reason to sit through that again.
Seeing it in IMAX 3D during the re-release really made me realize what people went nuts for last time but man, when you see it in 2D you really don't see at all what people "got" about the movie.

I bought a sex doll, but I keep it inflated 100% of the time and use it like a regular wife
Felt like the first one was quite boring, so I probably won't even watch this one.

I loved the spectacle of the first one. I'm waiting to hear how the experience is on this one. I am definitely not seeing it for the story.

definitely and if I like it I'll watch it a couple more times in theaters maybe even a fourth I want this movie to make $3 billion worldwide and be the highest grossing movie of all time 🙏 if you're a true movie fan and care about cinema you'll watch this movie multiple times as well movies are meant to be watched on a humungous screen not a 65" tv theater industry need to be healthy and strong otherwise we're gonna be stuck with netflix streaming trash

I was until the testosterone thing. Eat your movie Cameron.
That comment was in reference to older Cameron regretting his on set demanding attitude versus now.

Anyone thinking Cameron is, JUST NOW, gonna start loading up his films with "strong wahmen" characters has NOT been paying attention since, oh, I dunno, 1984?

Closes theater is like 8 hours on car + 2 hours on ferry away (or a ~80 min flight) and it's not an Imax.

So no, no movie is worth the trip when watching it a few months later on my Oled at home is pretty good too.

No. I was cheated by hype in the first one. I can't see 3d well so movie sucked as other than visuals there was nothing exciting

James Cameron and all those actors have tremendous abilities, it bothers many it took too long to release the sequel (over 10 years) but those avatar movies are very interesting.
