Do you remember how insanely good the E3 trailer for Doom 2016 was?

In the age of modern gaming with blockbusters like Concord, Dustborn, Veilguard and such titles, it doesn't hurt to look back at E3 2015 and the magnificent trailer for Doom. Simple, brutal, straight-to-the-point-no-bullshit-ultra-violence presented in the best way possible. I still get hyped for the game watching this. Truly one of the best trailers ever made, at least for us Doom fanatics.

both trailers are great but at least for doom 2016 you would never know they completed changed the meta of the game with the forced arena style fighting that artificially limits your ability to explore by locking you into an area with invisible walls. then came the weapon leveling system, dubstep dance sound track, the rave lights in all the levels and all the "cool" aesthetics instead of anything survival horror like doom3. some people loved that stuff but i don't think it really belongs. i'm hoping the next one gets rid of arenas and gets more to the original doom style but i'm not holding my breath

Now 2016 isn’t modern era gaming?

One of the best games ever. I was so hyped for it ever since the rumors of Doom 4 and I was more than satisfied with the end product. Saying this as an OG Doom fan.
