Eh, going ftp (as in, regular updates instead of a yearly release pretending to be new) made sense for a game that is based on a sport that has barely changed for a century.

The shit part was splitting the game's features up, changing the engine and releasing an inferior game, and designing around mtx

FIFA has been top selling since the 90s. Doesn't mean their game is better. It was always a rubbish game until FIFA 08 it became decent.
